How to unlock the Off We Go achievement in NBA 2K17: The Prelude - Definitive Guide
EDIT: This is kind of missable as if you don't get enough points to buy an attribute you can then only get points by buying them with cash or using the app on Android/IOS to get some points. (Thanks Dream Fiend).
In your first game make sure to play well, pass and assist, play tight defence on your man, and don't try for 3 pointers and you should get a decent enough rating. Best to buy after the first game as you can lose points after that. (Thanks Enter gamertag).
After you've played your first game you can go into the 2K Store at the main menu. You will have received some points for playing your first game. (I got 500).
Go into MyPlayer - Attribute Upgrades. There will be various upgrades and depending on the type of player you chose will cost anything between 150-500. Choose one of these by pressing up on the category - add to cart with , Open Cart with and checkout with .
Also if the servers are being dodgy you can use my player inventory - NBA/PRO-AM ANIMATIONS - NBA RITUALS - Press X to open 2K SPORTS STORE, is an option in the lower left corner, thats how I got into the store and bought the upgrade with points won. (Thanks xSTAGGERxLEEx).

How did you make that? I kept getting D- grade and negative points rewards, and I've finished the USA game so there are no games playable. All I have is 53 points. wth

I just played normally, stayed on my man when on d and hit a few shots. Is the USA game playable again?

If you are same poor sports game player like me you can end up career without geting enough gold to purchase stat upgrade and bonus animation you can aid yourself with MyNBA2k17 mobile app (Android or iPhone version) to get lurge bunch of free gold.
And if you don't own either of theese phones, like me, you can use free Android emulator - MEmu, then link your google account, download app and login using your Xbox Live gamertag. Worked like charm for me.

Couldn’t find the app, they only have MyNBA2k18 so they might have gotten rid of the older version.

After you finish your first game, you will have earned some Virtual Currency. You can use this to upgrade an attribute by browsing to 'Main Menu > 2K Store > MyPLAYER > MyPLAYER - Attribute Upgrades'. From here select any attribute and add one attribute to it. This will show you the cost on the right. If you have only played 1 game then you most likely can only buy one upgrade.
When you decide on the attribute you want, add it and press to add it to cart. Now press to open the cart and confirm the purchase. This will unlock the trophy.

UNOBTAINABLE DUE TO SERVER CLOSURE
Despite being missable, this is very difficult to miss if you're focusing on this trophy. During each game (aside from the first inter-squad game), you'll receive coins based on your performance. You'll get one or two coins for every point, assist, rebound, etc. You'll also lose a coin for each time you foul. Most of the coins you get will come from your performance grade. This grade can be seen in the top right of your screen. For example, if you finish with a B- grade, you'll earn 125 coins plus any additional coins you get for points and whatnot.
150 coins should be enough to earn this trophy. Once you have enough, go to the 2K Store in the main menu. Select MyPlayer and then MyPlayer-Attribute Upgrade. Find a stat you can upgrade for a cost of 150 coins. I was a Center who was a Post Scorer. My Playmaking stat cost 150 to upgrade.
If by chance you can't amass enough coins, you have two options: (1) You can buy coins for real money ($2 in NA) or (2) you can download the MyNBA2K17 app for your device of choice. Through there, you'll be able to continue amassing coins. However, not everyone wants to spend real life money nor has a device the app is compatible with, so that is why this trophy is technically missable. It's easier to just be cautious. I had enough coins to upgrade after the third game (second game you're graded on).
If you lock yourself out of MyCareer (this can happen by deleting your save or the game itself) or you simply don't have the means to earn more coins, download the game from another region. You should be able to start MyCareer over and, thus, more opportunities to earn coins. Credit to Mazdafreak.

Go to myPlayer Inventory, select anything until the option to go to 2k Sports Store comes up, and then hit . Go to MyPlayer, then to MyPlayer Attribute Upgrade, and increase any stat there (such as Shooting off dribble) by one.
Press to add to the cart, to open cart, to checkout, and to confirm. The achievement will unlock shortly after confirming the purchase.
