This achievement is unlocked in MyCareer mode. Go the MyCareer navigation by pressing B in your gym. Then go to 2K Pro-Am.
Now you have the option to join a team or create a team. I personally created one, and the achievement unlocked after I created my team and entered "our gym".

it's called "enter team area" not "our gym" to clarify in case of confusion, but +1 close enough
