The way to get this achievement is depended by your playstyle, if your a rebounder you may need to break a rebounding record or average a certain amount or break a shooting record if you are a shooter.

Play well for an entire month and an objective on your phone should show go to Docs Barbershop, and will give a task depending on how you played, mine was break Damian Lillards 3pt single season record.

You will unlock this achievement when you're in the playoffs, and will unlock as soon as you enter his shop(if you won the bet)

The reward for winning is free Haircuts for life in case you're wondering.

I was averaging 12 pts and 11 rebounds about 25 games in and my task was "average more than 10.5 rebounds like Karl Anthony Towns did in his rookie season"

I believe that visiting Doc regularly at the start of the season (I mean from game 1) might increase the chances of triggering the bet, as there are some other cut scenes at his barber shop, such as meeting 2 or 3 NBA players (I remember I met Paul George and Kyrie Irving).

This isn't entirely accurate. He'll give you a different bet depending on how you play and likely what character you use. For example, I'm a SG sharpshooter and my bet is whether I'll beat Lillard's rookie three pointer record, which is 185. I was at 90 3PM when I went to his shop and got the bet cutscene.

I play this game without sound because the cutscenes are unbelievably terrible so I may or may not have already gotten the bet from him. If I have, there's no way of knowing which bet it was I guess. Is there a list of all possible bets?

For me, I don't really remember my date range, but after I finished a game it's said in my objectives to go talk to the doc, when I went their he gave me a bet, but it wasn't for beating MJs rookie season, I had to beat something about Karl Anthony Towns( don't remember) so I'm guessing there's many and multiple bets.

For those wondering, Doc will text you when he is ready for the bet. I also got the rebounding bet after having a huge game (25+ pts, 25+ rebounds). I also got two haircuts immediately when I bought the game. It was late November or early December as well.

Same as others have listed, I am past the all star game with no games simulated but nothing from Doc. Even visited the barbershop every chance I got and exhausted all the random dialogue. Sounds like I will have to restart and make a scoring focused character

I created my 2nd character, 89 overall, I played to the allstar game stopping in and exhausting all dialog options. Got fed up with it, simulated to the end of the season. Averaged 33 points a game, won mvp, won rookie of the year. Didnt even receive a cutscene at all of any sort from them... cool 2K.

One glitched, one no cutscene.

I am the same as Sven0330 - I have been playing my rookie season (every game). PG averaging 35pts, 7.5rebs & 11.5assists. I have visited the barber shop after every game (annoying as hell) and have exhausted every dialogue. Don't think I have received a bet of any kind

Ah, my apologies dubaitaib. As far as I can tell it is only for your rookie season. You will probably have to start a new character. I found that running with 12 min quarters allowed me to get the stats I needed to achieve my goal (average a trib dub for the season)

I asked because Ive seen people on reddit complaining that Doc will give them a new bet in season 2 (its rookie related again, like Lillards 3s for example) and If they lose they will have to pay haircuts again. I tried to play well on my second season but had no luck with Doc.
I guess that as soon as I get to 90 overall, I will create a sharpshooter and invest on his 3s so Doc can give me the Lillards bet.

Wow that early?! That sucks guess I'm screwed. Can't believe I'll have to do a rookie year all over again with the blatant cash grabbing this game applies to have having good enough stats. Especially when my character is going to achieve everything required for it but I never visited the barber during the early months.

Who goes to get their hair cut multiple times anyway? Stupid achievement ugh...

Doc made a bet to have 10.5 rebounds per game average at the end of the season or at the end of the next game from his bet ? And WHEN did u get the "bet cutscene" at Doc's Barbershop , if you happen to remember ?
I'm at the end of December, and no bet for me at all. Been visiting Barbershop from 1st of December regularly....
