NBA 2K19

The biggest mystery of NBA 2K19. 6 months after released of the game and not even a single clue how to unlock it. Till today!

First of all big thanks to guy named ballnkamz32 who created a thread on reddit a few days ago where he wrote how he unlocked A New Beginning trophy on the PS4. Unfortunately I tried it and it probably didn't work... But don't worry, it will work later...

Ok, so what to do... The thing is that you need to have NBA 2K19 on disc. I'm about 90% sure this method doesn't work on digital version. This is the reason why method from reddit didn't work for me during first try. It's because game from online Microsoft Store is updated to the latest version during downloading. We need clean NBA 2K19 without any update and it is possible only with the disc. I bought it yesterday to try and I think It was it. But there is small chance that I'm wrong and it unlocked for me with 24 hours delay so You can always try with a digital version and wait, maybe achievement will unlock... Don't buy CD without trying it first.

So we have disc version of the game (like I said - 90% sure). If it is already installed on HDD - delete it. Then make sure your console is completely offline (unplug net cable, disconnect Wi-Fi etc.) and install it again. Because of that You will have clean version of the game without updates which are guilty this achievement is broken.

Launch the game in offline mode. On the screen there will show few messages that all your saves are corrupted. Don't worry. You will not lose any MyPlayer or MyTeam progress. It will come back normal later when You will be Online again. Go through them and also through all informations about updates to reach game main menu.

In the menu find MyGM, press and choose empty save slot. All your choices here are not important (team, city, dialogues etc.). Just sim all scenes and events (during matches wait till the tip-off, then press , Quit, Sim to End) till you reach January 1st 2019 (be aware that the story starts at August 5th 2017). To make the whole process as fast as possible just keep pressing all the time. During conversation with Brand Guru at February 5th 2018 the answer to his puzzle is "3".

At January 1st 2019 You will see a fishing cutscene with Tex. You must select these 3 dialogues options:
- You're on.
- You don't have many friends, huh?
- Of course man, we're solid.

And that's it. Nothing happend? Yes, because achievements don't show up when You are offline. Go back online, play whatever game You want and after few hours You should see a nice suprise. Honestly I thought it didn't work for me. But today during playing I saw number "1" next to Achievements icon in console menu. I didn't remember any new achievements, I checked and it was A New Beginning unlocked! Be patient, for me it took over 12 hours from end of playing to seeing the achievement unlocked.
