Hit 1,500 cards and am pretty sure I'm going to just sell off all my cards. Cards just trickling out... They're at a slower pace this year than they were last year and are behind schedule. Not sure how they're going to pump out roughly 600 cards in such a short time. Achievement probably won't be available until June/July..

The achievement percentage went up because someone unlocked the achievement. Talked with the guy and he doesn't have 2,900 cards nor does he have any Galaxy Opals, but he was able to get the achievement randomly. Just popped.

Again, we're roughly 600 cards away still. Hoping for 20 cards a week is definitely a LONG shot because they rarely hit that.

My first time playing a NBA2K game. I have nicknamed Domination as “QUICK THRU STS on replay”. Just finished the last 3 hardest teams with less than 300 cards in total at the moment. Haven’t really purchased cards yet. At about 900 tokens and 150k MT. Should I keep saving? The grind is definitely real. Any tips would be appreciated.

So I’m finally starting to work on this, currently sitting 495 cards. Been doing domination and the Current/historic challenges for cards.
Once I’ve done all this whats the best way to actually achieve this? I see you guys talking about sniping cards and flipping them which I’m doing. But is there anything else you would recommend? Will I have to buy packs with money?
I’m really hoping this is achievable, within the time frame before the servers go down.

servers will not go down for atleast two years 18 is still up,but once new game is out you have a month until nobody posts any cards. should be achievable if you keep flipping cards and do the challenges.

Triple threat online works well. You can earn a ton of mt and get card packs that are no longer available via token rewards or the marketplace. I have only have 5 mbps internet and I can still manage to usually make it to the 2-3 balls before getting k/Od. With 3 infinite contract players. It’s a licence to print mt

This is going to be hard if you are starting now. It took me 6 months of grinding everyday for at least 3-4 hours a day to collect all these cards. Thank god I actually enjoy basketball and the my team mode. Well good luck!

I started "grinding" near the beginning of March and am now over 1500 cards as of this morning. I haven't been doing much "flipping", but I did luck out with 2 GO cards in packs, which gave me decent MT when sold. Still lots of cards for sale, but I expect this to drop drastically when NBA 2K21 drops. Gonna be a tough grind for the remaining ~1400

At 1200 cards right now and exhausted. I tried to do the spotlight challenges but the market is crazy. Since you can longer get Clyde Drexler, Dwayne Wade, etc. packs, the prices have gone way up. To complete the final challenge you must have every card from the set. Mychael Thompson is gold going for 16K MT, Udonis Haslam is emerald, and at 55,000 MT! Andrew Bogut amethyst for 50K. When you go to the auction house there are only 3 to 5 for sale and they have all jacked up prices.

You just have to know when to snipe and take advantage of the packs in the market, prices are usually cheapest when hyped up packs drop that you can buy with mt, you just really have to know how to work the market, anyone who says that people that have this achievement "bought" it with VC don't know what they're talking about, im currently sitting at 2738 cards, still have a good chunk of Domination to do, I had 400ish a bit more than a month ago. 0 VC purchased and all the MT I earned myself.

Evolving cards and then flipping them won't get you close to the amount of profit that sniping will, I suggest looking up "2K20 Snipe Filters" on Youtube and use recent videos since the market changes by the day.

The majority also doesn't have the game 100% either, some people only play MyTeam and probably don't even care about the achievement, just want the Galaxy Opal Anthony Davis. If they used real money to get this they'd have to buy packs everytime new ones came out anyway, or used their duplicates to sell for mt, which still, you can probably get more mt by just sniping and flipping.

Took me 1100 hours and six months playing average 4 hours a day literally everyday to get 2900 cards completing domination, triple treat and 95% of the challenges. good thing I like and play basketball so I actually enjoy myteam mode after a 3 year break from 2k.

If anyone cares that much you can buy MT from websites and just buy all the cards. This whole achievement could be done in a matter of hours (the time it takes to buy 2900 cards) Im only at 1037 card myself but, on average, each card costs 550 MT on the marketplace (300-400 for Franchise cards 550-700 for players) so for 2900 cards without playing a single game, you're looking at like 1.6 Million MT which can purchased for like $250-300$ depending on the site.

I guarentee it would cost so much more then $300... hypothetically, if you did no solo challenges such as domination once you get to 2500 cards the average goes up to 10-15k each.. even more. The only cards that are 700 or less MT are Series 1/2 and some of the sets in the Token Market. You're not even in the ballpark for how much MT it'd cost you, its closer to 7-8M

by time 2K21 drops, and especially after the Holiday period, auction house will be completely dead. At this point, unless you grind crazy until September (Only game you play), I doubt you'll reach it with 2881 cards left.

Just under 2 months starting from 300 cards but I had alot of experience with sniping and flipping cards in auction and literally had nothing else to do, I grinded the game a unhealthy amount including Domination. Didn't spend any real $. You would have to play a ton, Next Gen console launch is irrelevant because 2K21 is coming to XB1

I'd recommend playing Triple Threat to build up some MT to then get some better players in the auction house. Chances are with 19 cards, your lineup probably isn't too strong. When I started out playing Domination, I played the easier difficulties first and only did the harder ones when I had some PD cards and Opals.

Another good tip that I'd like to share when going to 2900: when new packs are out, the first hour or two is one of the best times to snipe in the auction house because some cards that may have high value in MT go for much less cause not many people know what the value is. Can't say that really about Galaxy Opals but for diamond and pink diamond cards are good to look out for. Also pay attention to the rarity of the cards as that also dictates whether or not a card's value is crashing. An example would be the Frostbite Glen Rice card. It was once 40k MT now it's like 2000.

I have a question about filter in auction. When I set the max buynow to 2000 and enable the duplicate card setting. When I hit start there is no card in auction. But when I set the buynow to 3000 and the card shows up, the weird thing is that there are some card buynow Price under 2000 and these card are not shown in my first search. Also When I try to search coach or jersey card from my collection there are no result but when I search in auction house the card shows up. Anyone knows a better way to set the filter? BTW I am 2100 card right now and the card cost me 3000 on average.

I ran into the same thing. The auction house is far from perfect. What I did is I set my buy now price and would just change the theme and cycle through all the themes. You'd be surprised how often you'll find something lower than the 3000 MT average you're currently paying. Similar setup for coaches, jerseys, balls, etc

When it comes to tokens its probably best to spend them on Lights Out packs in the Token Reward Store. They only cost 6 tokens per pack and you can quicksell the contents for roughly 1500 MT, or put them in the Auction House for a little bit more.

My strategy so far has been to search the themes of cards and put the maximum bid at 500. I place a bid of 1500 on every card that I can and wait until the timer is up. You would be surprised at how many cards you can get. Also, if the next highest bid is less than 1500 you get the difference back in MT. **FYI when it comes to higher tier cards I place higher bets. Currently working on completing NBA '20 collection.

I just want to comment that I've played an insane amount if time for this game, and if you didnt complete the "Heat Check" collection (which is a complete useless group of cards considering the cancelled/postponed season) you cannot complete this. the first three groups are all vital, then everything else is really debatable considering the market price.

Your only resort is to spam 1 on 1 Unlimited matches, win one. and then throw the next games until you reset the board. you'll get a heat check pack/player every time.

hope this helps. dont be buying heat check off the auction house either, theres someone with mass cards controlling the market right now.

For a Jordan card, his pricing should stay up and may even increase. I completed the set and locked it in for the Diamond JR Smith. The card was worth it IMO. I also scored the Diamond Earl Monroe this AM. I'm currently at 426 cards, but I am only buying packs as they release new sets. So far I've been able to complete all premium sets.

For anyone wondering if it's too late to start going for Goat, id say no. I had 300 cards two weeks ago when I decided to attempt to go for it, now I have 2150. Did it all by grinding the auction house, sniping and flipping cards for profit, and then sniping cards you need for good deals. Still haven't done any Domination or solo challenges either.

I have been saving all the MT I make for a while. At around 300k now after flipping some Evo'd opals. Trying to hit 1 million before I start buying cards again. Haven't had any luck with sniping for the past two days. Currently at 1320 cards and have been playing regularly since March. Also, my first (and probably last) NBA2K game.

I picked up Haslem for 850 and another for 5000. It was best to grab during the evo packs as it was part of that set. Sold one for 20k when fully evolved. Not trying to brag but I do wanna point out that sniping has worked wonders for me. I’d stay away from those challenges until you have lots of MT and always keep checking for sniping or cheaper card opportunities. I made the mistake of paying over 50k for melo and kawhi each for the Lin spotlight. But tbh I can do better at sniping. Any tips from the pros would be appreciated. Like knowing which filters to use? Etc. getting tired of spending time on evolving cards for chump change.

I'm slowly getting there as well. I'm sitting at 2538. Cards are currently under 3000 MT for the most part still (though I've paid more for some PD cards, especially if it meant completing a set). Some locker codes are helpful, but you just have to be active in the auction house and look for the steals. Building up VC in MyCareer right now to get a 10 pack of the SuperPacks, hoping for at least one Opal that I can turn around and sell for big MT.

My advice for anyone that is just starting the game is to start with MyTeam, as getting the cards is a looooooong grind, but you also can't get cards in the auction house with VC, which is all you get from MyCareer.

Sniping was a thing awhile ago,theres so many good cards that arent hard to get i see as a waste of time,sniping worked 3 months ago but i dont tgink its that effective anymore,thats why the ratio is tanking its not as hard with all the added cards,nows the best time to go for this imo

Do you all think this is possible for me with 468 cards currently? I'd like to get 2k21 when it comes out, but also don't want to wear myself out of NBA by grinding this everyday too much. Maybe 2-3 hours a day? I have a good number of opals and really no problem winning offline games. TTO, not so much and haven't touched the evo cards as previously commented on the matchmaking "glitch."

You're in for a TON of grinding no matter what. Even if you spend hundreds of dollars on packs (absolutely not recommended, especially at this point) you're still going to have to get so many cards that you'll likely be forced to play hundreds of hours just to get close to this achievement.

The 100% guaranteed best way to get MT to buy cards is to play Triple Threat online. Each game is only about 5 minutes long and if you manage to win all 11 games on the board you'll make anywhere between 6-10K MT easy.

The best way to win TTO games is to grab three of the free Spotlight players (J Lin, Kareem, Dwight Howard, Iggy, Kidd, etc.) and grind them to their max levels in any way you can. Use them in every game possible. The 2K matchmaking system has a glitch that reads their card levels as their base forms, so even if you have a Pink Diamond Lin/Kareem, they're still being counted as Sapphires. This will allow you to get matched up with people with much worse cards that you should have no problem beating.

Sniping cards at an auction is definitely doable but considering you'll probably be spending so much of your MT on cards in the auction house, you won't have a lot saved up to snipe 100K MT galaxy opals to resell on the market, and even then there's no guarantee of a return on investment because of the 10% auction house tax. Triple Threat online is slow but steady MT that also gives you tons of packs that will fill out your collection as well as give you free duplicates to sell for MT.

Play triple threat, online or offline, to build MT then try and buy some good diamond players off the auction house or try your luck buying packs with MT. Also keep your eye out for 2K Locker codes because those can give free players, MT or tokens.

Don’t forget to buy nets playbook and run the play quick thru sts to win all challenge games like domination and use those 2 or so locker codes we get per week. Other than that the above guide is dead on accurate. Use your tokens on the lights out pack for free mt because of all the duplicates you will get and need to sell.

I started to play this game three months ago. Now I have 1800 cards (1100 left to go). It is the moment that it's really hard to get new cards since i have all bronze, silver, gold cards.
I also have a lot diamonds, pink diamonds, ~20 opals. In auction house cards cost a lot of MT - minimum 2000MT. any tips?

Wait til you hit around the 2300 mark where cards cost over 5k.
The majority of cards that I bought I spent no more than 10k. Best bet is to work the auction house during low peak times or wait for days when the bring back old/new packs and buy cards then. If you're already at where cards are at 2k min and you're not feeling comfortable spending, grind more games for MT.

If you use the new locker code for a GOAT pack or 750 tokens I highly recommend taking the tokens and spamming lights out packs and selling every duplicate, shoes etc.. You'll more than likely end up with more MT and cards than if you take the pack

I tried the evo cards (Kidd, Kareem, and Sprewell) in TTO tonight and ran into someone with 3 GOAT cards so I'm not sure if it still works or not. The Lights Out packs are definitely the way to go though. I'm quick selling any of the lights out cards I get but putting up the bronze and silver cards on the auction house since some of them are going for 800-1500+ since they're from the series 1 run and are now harder to come by.

They're specifically the players you get by completing the first spotlight challenge for each player. So completing the first Jeremy Lin Spotlight Challenge will get you the Evo Jeremy Lin card which can get up to a pink diamond, etc.

Locker codes are/were codes released by 2K on Twitter that you could enter in MyTeam that gave you things like free players/packs/consumables. It was a good way to get lots of free stuff without having to buy it with MT/VC.

I'm not going to lie it's not impossible but at this point now that 2K21 is already out your chances of getting this are going to be much more difficult. I don't think they're releasing any more locker codes for 2K20 and less people are going to be selling cards on the auction house so it might be an even more difficult grind than it was when the game was still more active.

Just got to 2900 tonight. To anyone else that is close, I found it super helpful to spend tokens on ripping lights out packs once you reach the collector level that gives you 750 tokens.1 player from the go reward market vs around 200,000 mt is a pretty easy choice. Many thanks to Kevin garnet evo starbury, evo Kyle Korver and league series 2 serge ibaka. You have won many tto games. Also used tokens from completing collections to rip packs and sell duplicates near the end for extra mt. I started in March and finished all the achievements in about 4 months. Never spent any money $. Also never bothered to try and flip cards in the auction house as results can vary in consistency
