NBA 2K22

This is going to require a TON of MT Currency and Reward Tokens, moreso MT but more on that at the end of this guide. In order to unlock this achievement, you must open the Rainbow Unicorn Reward Ball pack, which is only obtained by completing all three tiers of the Basketball Rewards. To check your progress at any time, go into My Collection / Rewards / Basketball Rewards and then press the Right Trigger to scroll until you get to the tiers.

Tier 1
Bronze Ball - you must first complete the Bronze Basketballs Collection, which is found in My Collection / Miscellaneous Collections / Basketballs. All of these balls can be bought from the Auction House or randomly found in packs you open in My Team:

1. Blue Silver
2. Red Silver
3. Yellow Silver
4. Purple Gold
5. Black Gold
6. Green Gold
7. NBA

Silver Ball - you must first complete the Silver Basketballs Collection, which is found in My Collection / Miscellaneous Collections / Basketballs. All of these balls can be bought from the Auction House or randomly found in packs you open in My Team:

Ruby Ball - you must buy ONLY ten players from the Ruby Rewards tier, which is found in Pack Market / Rewards. This will require 150 Tokens to buy ten of them. There are more than ten players in this tier, you ONLY need to buy ten

Tier 2
Holographic Ball - this is awarded for completing Tier 1 of the Basketball Rewards

Vintage Ball - you must first complete the Holiday Balls East Collection, which is found in My Collection / Miscellaneous Collections / Basketballs. At this point these balls can only be bought from the Auction House since the holiday season has ended:

Pink Diamond Ball - you must buy ONLY five players from the Pink Diamond Rewards tier, which is found in Pack Market / Rewards. This will require 750 Tokens to buy ten of them. There are more than five players in this tier, you ONLY need to buy five

Tier 3
Fire Ball - this is awarded for completing Tier 2 of the Basketball Rewards

Disco Ball - this is awarded for completing the All-Star 2022 Lifetime Agendas, which is found under Home / Current Season / Lifetime Agendas / All-Star 2022. There are nine agendas you must complete and they are:

1. Simons Dunks - make 10 dunks with Anfernee Simons over multiple games
2. Money Ball - score 20 points on 100% shooting in one game
3. Davis REB - get 20 rebounds with Anthony Davis over multiple games
4. LeBron All-Star High PTS - score 38 points with LeBron James in one game
5. KD All-Star High PTS - score 38 points with Kevin Durant in one game
6. Anthony AST - get 10 assists with Cole Anthony in one game
7. Edwards Dunks - get 5 dunks with Anthony Edwards over multiple games
8. Irving PTS - score 34 points with Kyrie Irving in one game
9. Howard BLK - get 2 blocks with Dwight Howard in one game

Camoflage Ball - collect 50 cards of any non consumable type

Silver Ink Ball - collect 150 cards of any non consumable type

Purple Marble Ball - collect 175 cards of any non consumable type

White Camo Ball - collect 250 cards of any non consumable type

Gold Ink Ball - collect 350 cards of any non consumable type

Blue Marble Ball - collect 450 cards of any non consumable type

Blue Camo Ball - collect 550 cards of any non consumable type

Gold Silver Ink Ball - collect 650 cards of any non consumable type

Black Gold Marble Ball - collect 750 cards of any non consumable type

Upon completing Tier 3, you will unlock the Rainbow Unicorn Reward pack and the achievement when you open it.

Advice, Tips, etc
This is just my personal experience and what works for me might not be your cup of tea, but in my opinion to get this achievement done as quickly and efficiently as possible is to stockpile hundreds of thousands of MT Currency because it will allow you to bypass the worst part of this achievement: the 1440 Tokens required to get the Gem Balls.

Under Collection there are two categories: Heat Check and Dynamic Ratings. Each of these sections require you to complete a total of 30 NBA Team Collections of 15 player cards, upon which you are rewarded with 25 Tokens. Since this is a total of 60 Collections, you can get a total of 1500 Tokens and have more than enough to buy all the required players.

Most player cards can get gotten very cheap from the Auction House, if you search at odd times of the morning and night you can even get the high end players for dirt cheap. This is exclusively how I got almost all of my Tokens, I just stalked and sniped cards until I completed enough NBA team sets.

Getting these sets will easily get you the 750 players you need for the camo balls, that's why I'd exclusively focus on Heat Check and Dynamic Player cards and never bother with coaches, logos, arenas, floors, or playbooks.

It may look like this is only 11 balls to collect, but it goes deeper than that. For example the fire ball requires that you collect 6 balls just to unlock the fireball and on the fire ball list is the beach ball which requires 15 other balls to unlock that one ball card.

To see what you need go into My Team ----> My collection ----> Basketball Rewards.

For some balls they are under My Team ---> My collection ---> Misc Collections

You will need to fill Tier 1, then Tier 2, then Tier 3 to get unicorn. To see what is required for each tier press X while on the Tier screen. A checkbox list will then pop up.

1.) Collect 750 unique cards for special agenda basketballs. This will probably come naturally by the time you do the rest of the steps, but if not buy cheap franchise items such as coaches, arenas, logos, and playbooks.

2.) Unlock each of the token market reward balls. To do this, you must redeem 10 emerald players (30 tokens) 10 sapphire (60) 10 ruby (150) 5 amythest (150) 5 diamond (300) and 5 pink diamond (750) for a total of 1440 required tokens. Be sure not to collect more than you need at each tier! There are exactly enough at the emerald and sapphire tiers, but there are more than the required amount at each of the other tiers. Also, don't spend tokens on other things such as badge or player packs.

3.) Buy all the auctionable basketballs. There are bronze, silver, and gold-tier ones. This step can be fully achieved with around 10k MT, maybe closer to 7.5k if you are patient. You will also naturally accumulate these from various premium packs throughout the year.

4.) The above 3 steps can all be completed now, but we simply have no idea yet what the rest of the requirements are. Last year some balls were tied to spotlight challenges, so we could see that when 2k releases more of those. It could also be tied to "ornament" balls released during the Holiday season, sometime in November or December. My advice would be to make sure you have plenty of MT on hand just in case this step is expensive, though if it is like previous years it likely will not be.
