How to unlock the Bet on Woman achievement in NBA 2K23 - Definitive Guide
The W is the career mode for WNBA players, you create a player and play through seasons while leveling up and growing your brand. These are represented by five Pillars in the game, which are:
There are two ways to raise your Progression: playing through career mode or boosting it in The W One, which is a 3V3 mode where you and two AI teammates play another player and their two AI teammates in a game of 21.
If you are very skilled at 2K, career mode is the fastest way to go. If you play on Hall of Fame difficulty and excel, you can earn 10,000+ experience points per game. You can play on lower difficulties but your gained points goes down significantly. The key here is win as much as you can, score as much as you can, and do everything you can to get your teammate grade to an A. This includes getting assists, defensive stops, and playing in position.
It's going to be a very long grind this way, especially early on as you'll be a bench warmer and won't get to play a lot. The better you play you'll level up and be able to begin starting, which is more time to raise your Progression. You'll also get Badge points to help raise your offensive and defensive stats.
If you are not skilled and have two Xboxes, The W Online is the way to go. You can earn 6,000+ points per win, with the added bonus of you can finish a game in minutes since you only need to score 21 points. This is how I got Progression Tier 10. This mode cannot be played legitimately because it is almost completely dead.
The method I used is I would move my main account to the bottom of the screen while I moved my dummy up half court. You don't have direct control over the AI players, when when the have the ball you can press A and they'll pass to you or X and they'll take a shot. I would have my dummy pass to an AI player and have them take a bad shot, one of my AI teammates would grab the rebound, I'd call for a pass and score the easy lay up since I was under the basket. Rinse and repeat infinity times.
When I had the ball with my main account, I would either attempt a 3 pointer or pass to an open teammate for a basket. Shooting is VERY difficult in this mode since you can't actively upgrade your stats like you can in MyCareer mode, but if you can nail 3s that would be the fastest way to plow through games.
All in all, this took me approximately 15+ hours to get to Progression Tier 10 and the She Got Game achievement. While you're playing The W Online your Chemistry will likely hit Tier 10 as well, but you'll also notice it'll go down as low as 8. This isn't a big deal because simming will take care of the rest.
To mop up, go to your Calendar, scroll all the way to the right, and select Sim to Playoffs. Keep simming until you get to the Off Season, where you can choose up to 180 days of activities. The Coaching Tab will give you events that'll put your Chemistry up to Tier 10 and it'll stay that way until you play another game. For the other three Pillars hunt through the activities for the ones that give the most fans and money, you'll easily hit Tier 10 in a few seasons worth of simming.
It's also worth noting if you do the Global activities where you sign with a team in the offseason, you can get up to 3,500 Progression points. This is severely nerfed from previous NBA 2K games where you got 25,000. The only reason you can't sim until you hit Tier 10 is your player is automatically retired after the 2041 season and you have to start over again from zero. You will have at least ten to fifteen seasons left after you sim for the rest of the Pillars, so this is at least 35,000 Progression points you can earn this way. Just make sure to not count on this too much.
- Progression - based off your actual gameplay, the better you do on offense and defense it goes up
- Popularity - your world wide popularity. Utterly meaningless
- WNBA Popularity - your WNBA popularity. Utterly meaningless
- Wealth - how much money you've earned in your career. Utterly meaningless
- Chemistry - how well you play with your teammates during gameplay, such as passing the ball, setting plays, etc

The longest time will be to get tier 10 in Progression, you need to play a lot of matches and try to get an A+ rating in each match so that more experience can be gained. Shooting in this mode is terrible, so the easiest way is to make a “paint monster”, such as a center with good potential for layups, rebounds and blocks. According to the game settings, if you have experience, then the higher the difficulty, the more experience, for me it was optimal (to get an A+ every game) 6-7 minute period, Pro difficulty.
The remaining categories are pumped up on their own, once you reach level 10 of progress, you can safely simulate each season and choose the categories where to pump up experience. Pay attention to the amount of experience, because I only noticed at the end that it turns out that somewhere in the middle there is activity at +1.5 million WNBA FANS, so I did several extra seasons at +300-500K
