How to unlock the Level Up achievement in NBA 2K23 - Definitive Guide
Season 1's Level 40 XP amount that you'll need is 150,000. That is unfortunately a lot.
Just as a heads up, this is the most time-consuming achievement in this years' MyTeam. It will require you to put probably upwards of 100 hours into the game within the Season timeframe (which is usually 40-45 days). At the time of writing this, there are 39 days left in Season 1.
On the first tab in MyTeam (Home), the top left tab is where you'll find all of your 'Agendas' and challenges to complete. These are all updated daily, weekly and are often specific to packs/players available for a limited time. However, you will need to focus on game-modes such as Domination, Triple Threat Offline and Clutch Time. These will be the easiest modes to focus on getting challenges completed.
Domination tip: You can play on the easiest difficult and cheese the AI to get challenges done. Those that require hefty point totals are best done here. Getting 10 stars within each 5-game stub in Domination rewards 30 tokens. These can be used for the Token Market to get the necessary amount of Season 1 players for the team-based challenges.
Triple Threat Offline: With the much faster paced gameplay, this is best for less time-consuming challenges. On the player selection screen, you can lock a player to your controller, but as ideal as this sounds, I actually thought it hindered me as I found it difficult to work with the AI at times.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to accomplish this as there is no easy way to grind XP. You don't get a set amount per match, it's just solely for completing challenges. If I was to recommend anything it would be get on this ASAP and start grinding. I'm on 20k XP and all I've focused on is SP since the MP is the worst experience for me in a video game, ever lol. I highly doubt you will find anybody that isn't the Michael Jordan of 2K and will absolutely wipe the floor with you defensively, and just cheese somebody like Steph Curry. I would avoid MP as much as possible unless it is absolutely needed for challenges (some are so you might have to struggle through).
There isn't really anything I can help you with apart from urging you to get on it. This achievement will be discontinued when the Season's 2K release end (usually when the next game is released). Good luck!
Season 1 Level 40 Reward: 96 OVR Pink Diamond Scottie Pippen
Update 07/10/2022 - I am almost finished with Season 1, there's about 16 days left, and I sit at 146,000 XP. I haven't touched a SINGLE MP challenge because I am absolutely trash online. That's just proof that you can do it without touching MP, or at least in regard to S1.

I think is early to say this because if you play only MyTeam after 9 days of grinding you can be already at level 29. There are still 30 days and we need 13 levels, doesn't seems so hard. We'll see.

Just a reminder that level 34 is about the halfway mark for level 40

As someone who just got the achievement in Season 2, here are my suggestions:
- Level 40 is 150,000 XP so grinding is expected.
- have 50,000MT+ to begin with
- When a new set comes out, wait 2-3 days (for the prices to even out), then purchase every card Diamond or less and do whichever goals are necessary then immediately sell the card. My "standard" team is all Amethyst's (Purple), so higher cards are rarely needed.
- Do the challenge games for each set
- Try to get the Daily Challenges done
- Abuse the system. What I mean by that is there is an initial challenge (that doesn't disappear), which is played on Semi-Pro where you play until you hit 5 three pointers as a team. What that means is if you need to score 50 with Kobe, or whatever stats that don't require threes, you can grind them in that game, then quickly hit five threes to finish the game up. I did this as well in games that I had to evolve players (for XP points of course), and getting threes was necessary for them.
- Take whatever bonuses you can. In Season 1, it was 150XP (I think) for every Domination game won. In Season 2, it was 80XP for every Triple Threat (a game to 21) and 100XP for every Clutch Time (a 5-on-5 with four-point line played against the computer). Of course, there are bonuses for Multiplayer as well.
- Get the Weekly Challenges done. Each week there are four sets of challenges. For the fourth set, I think the XP are 750, 1000, 1500, 2000 which is very significant
- Finally, don't burn out. If you are planning to do this, decide right at the beginning of a season and play some every day. I picked one day of the week (Thursday) to put in 3+ hours, then every other day I just logged on, and did one or two things that gave me XP.
Best of luck and I hope this guide helps some people.

The trophy is awarded for reaching level 40 of the season pass (the description of the trophy is incorrect). Now it’s easier to do this, because... the season will last until the end of the year, so there is no need to rush and do it in 40 days. At the moment, experience for the pass is obtained only for completing tasks by players from the End Game (5000 XP) and Invincible (3000 XP) collections, to reach level 40 you need 150,000 XP, so the math is simple, you can get these cards at auctions quietly, or while you are complete the Deja Vu trophy, collect a lot of packs and collect something for free
