Quick ‘n Easy July 2024 Solution

This guide will walk you through how to get what can be a fairly complicated achievement in the easiest possible manner. I apologise in advance because this is going to be a book, but there is so little information online about this game and I want to help people as much as I can.

From MyCareer, press Start, scroll over to the Progression tab, and select GOAT Skills. You'll see four columns here, the goal is to unlock the hexagon icon at the top of each one.

On the left side of the screen you have two skill slots, select one and then choose which column you want to start working on. For your second slot you can select a second skill from the same column or work on a different one. I always choose two different columns, but it's entirely your preference. The columns are:

You have to do one of these in four separate games or two of these in two separate games in order to unlock Tier 2

You have to activate any Finishing Skills in 16 separate games AND any Tier 4 skills in eight separate games in order to fully unlock the Tier 4 Rewards

Once you have unlocked all four Tier 4 Rewards the achievement will pop in the middle of the game. Now there are two ways to get this achievement: the extremely easy way or the traditional way of playing through your career.

The extremely easy way is to into the MyCareer menu, choose Quests, choose Main, and select “Streetball at Sunset Park". Follow your way point to the park, where you can interact with a board and challenge some guys to Streetball (there's an achievement for beating all eight). Choose to play against Disco and set up your team then start the game.

In Streetball, you only have to perform a Finishing Skills objective ONCE to get credit towards the Tier goal. For example, an objective like “Make 4 double moves and score" means you only have to do ONE double move and score and the game will credit you for four. Instead of having to make 3 perfect shot releases, you only have to make one. I don't know if the game is broken or this is intentional, but this will save you so much time and frustration.

I am not good at 2K. I find the controls so overly complicated and convoluted, and the game never does a good job at teaching you anything. I played this mode as a point guard that copied Steph Curry’s build, put it on Rookie, and spammed three pointers until my thumb fell off. These are the methods I used to get this achievement:

Finishing / Tier 1
Attempt 3 layups - drive towards the basket and push the RS up

Finishing / Tier 2
Make 4 post shots - when you're near the basket, press and release the LT. After letting go press the RS up and make the shot. You cannot be holding LT or it won't count

Finishing / Tier 3
Score 10 points in the paint in 4 minutes - score on any shot as long as you're in the paint, the dark rectangle area in front of the basket

Finishing / Tier 4
Make 5 layups that are either Eurostep, spin, reverse, hopstep, or up & under shots - this one is frustrating because the game loves to not give you credit for performing these. The Reverse Layup is by far the easiest, get the ball and go to the right of the basket outside the paint. Start running to the left while holding the RS to the right the entire time. As you run underneath the basket, you'll see the shot meter pop up and start to turn green. When it's green let go of RS and you should throw up a layup. This one is extra nice in Streetball because you only have to do it the one time and not five times

Shooting / Tier 1
Attempt 4 three pointers - you don't need to make them

Shooting / Tier 2
Get 4 good shot selections on three pointers - best to do when you're open

Shooting / Tier 3
Get 3 perfect shot releases or make 4 three pointers in a half - extremely easy on Rookie Difficulty

Shooting / Tier 4
Make 4 three pointers without making a bad shot - identical to getting 4 good shot selections

Playmaking / Tier 1
Get good ball movement 3 times - basically just pass the ball to an open teammate. They'll usually pass to someone else and you'll get the notification

Playmaking / Tier 2
Attempt 3 shots after dribble moves - press left, right, or back on the RS to do a dribble move and then attempt a shot

Playmaking / Tier 3
Get 5 shots made after dribble moves - identical to the Tier 2 skill, just make the shot

Playmaking / Tier 4
Get 4 double moves leading to a score - I would move the RS to the left, to the right, and then shoot hopefully making the basket. Again, on Rookie you shouldn't miss once you get the timing down

Defense/Rebounding / Tier 1
Prevent wide open shots on 4 consecutive possessions - just guard your man by staying close to them and hope your team does the same. Doesn't matter if your man scores, they just can't be wide open when they do it

Defense/Rebounding / Tier 2
Get by screens 3 times - you'll likely get this without even trying. A screen is when the opponent next to the guy you're guarding stands still and puts his hands over his crotch. Simply run IN FRONT of him without getting stuck on him to get by the screen

Defense/Rebounding / Tier 3
Get 4 rebounds in 4 minutes - extremely easy on Streetball as you only have to get 1 rebound

Defense/Rebounding / Tier 4
Don't allow a point in the paint for 5 consecutive possessions - I would leave the guy I was supposed to be guarding wide open and cover someone else. He would often shoot a three, doesn't matter if he makes it that's not in the paint so you get credit towards the objective

And that's all there is to getting this achievement extremely easy and fast. You do have to finish the game to get credit, but Streetball goes very fast since it's only 21 points. If you beat Disco you can play him again and again by selecting his blacked out portrait on the Streetball board. With this method you can get the achievement in a couple of hours tops versus the dozens and dozens it would normally take in MyCareer.

Now if you do want to do this in MyCareer you certainly can, my advice for the easiest GOAT Skill still applies but you'll have to do the required number like the game wants you to. Since you're going to be playing a ton of mandatory games in that mode going got the GOAT Skills might help give you an objective and cut down on the mind numbing boredom, but it's all up to you.

Thank you very much for reading this overly long guide, as a reward here are some NBA Fun Facts:

  1. There have only been four times in NBA history that someone has averaged 40 points per game in a playoff series, plus the five times Michael Jordan did it.
  2. There have only been two times in NBA history someone won the scoring title and the championship. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1971 and Shaquille O’Neal in 2000, plus the six times Michael Jordan did it.
  3. There have only been two times in NBA history that someone won the scoring title and First Team All Defense, plus the nine times Michael Jordan did it.
  4. 3 teams have won an NBA championship without having a player win an MVP before, during, or after that season: the 1989 Pistons, the 1990 Pistons, and the 2004 Pistons.
  5. The Indiana Pacers have never had the #1 overall pick and have never had a former #1 overall pick play for them. They haven't even had a lottery pick inside the Top 10 since 1989.
  6. Wilt Chamberlain averaged 48.52 minutes per game in the 1962 season, more than the number of minutes in a game. Nobody else has averaged more than 46.1, he holds the top 7 records.
  7. Michael Jordan has more 50 point games in the playoffs than games where he scored under 20 points.
  8. Steph Curry and LeBron James were born in the same hospital: Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio.
  9. In 2015, the Dallas Mavericks had three players named Deron Williams, Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea. All three played point guard and all three were born on June 26, 1984. In the entire history of the NBA, only three players ever had this birthdate and they all ended up playing on the same team together.
