How to unlock the Record Breaker achievement in NBA 2K24 - Definitive Guide
The easiest career record to break is 3-pointers made, which starts at around 3400 and is held by Steph Curry.
Steph is still in the league, however, and will continue to add on to his record at around 250-350 3PM per season until he retires. In my save he retired with around 4,400 threes made.
The fastest way to get this done is to make a 3-point specialist and play on rookie difficulty. Play your first game with 12 minute quarters and put up as many 3s as you can. I ended up with well over 100 points and about 35 3PM. Then sim the rest of the games and foul out of any key-games that you aren't forced to play.
Your simmed games will take your monster first game as your season average and will use those stats as a baseline in all of your simmed games, so you'll likely have lots of 20-30 3PM games without having to actually play them. Also, remember that ONLY REGULAR SEASON 3's made will count towards your overall career record.
Lastly, I encountered a glitch where your 3s stop counting after 1,023 in a single season. I encountered this halfway through my first season and any future games for that season don't seem to count any more than that, no matter how many you make in-game or sim for that season. This continued to happen in every season, so make sure you foul out of every possible regular season game after you hit the cap for that season, unless you need to hit a specific GOAT goal to continue.
TL;DR - 5 Seasons of 1,023 3's made, 90% of them being simmed, and you'll pop this achievement.
