How to unlock the Bill Russell achievement in NBA 2K7 - Definitive Guide

First, make sure that Out-of-Bounds, 8 seconds to half court, and pretty much any other rules are turned off, just to be safe.

Ok, so when you inbound the ball, Stay put on the wrong side of the court for a second while your teammate runs down into position. Then run behind the basket. At this point you should be the only player on the screen, standing behind the basket. Press X to shoot the ball. Because you're basically taking a full court shot, your player will baseball-throw the ball. If you're standing in the correct place behind the backboard, the ball will hit the back of the backboard and fall on/near you. The game counts that as an offensive rebound. If you don't pick it up right away, that's fine. When you do get the ball again, hold onto it a second and your team will all clear out again. Repeat 24 times (or as many more as needed).

It can be a bit tricky to consistently be the right distance behind the basket so that your shot doesn't go over or under the backboard. It threw me off because shorter players have to be farther back than taller players.

For this achievement, it is best to turn all of the sliders down for both players. This will ensure that you will nearly always miss, making rebounds come more often. Set the quarter length to the longest possible.

Play as the Houston Rockets and try to get rebounds with Yao Ming. Anytime that you have the ball, shoot from 3 point range with any player except for the one who is going for rebounds. If you get the rebound, shoot again from 3 point range. When on defense, wait for the computer to shoot and go for the rebound. Continue this until you grab 25 rebounds with one player.

Note: You can do this with any player but is easiest with someone tall.

Use someone tall and that has speed. I recomend Kevin Garnett. See "Tim Duncan" for tips.
