How to unlock the Most Valuable Player achievement in NBA LIVE 06 - Definitive Guide

Start up a new season (any team you want) and make sure you have the following settings:

Trade Restrictions = NO
Trade Deadline = NO
CPU Roster Changes (something like that) = YES

The rest of the settings do not matter.

Now sim to the NEXT TO LAST game in the season (meaning you will have 1 game left when the sim ends).

Now, go to the GM Desk and check the League Leader statistics for the season. Take note of the top 15 scorers in the league.

Then trade your players for each of those 15 players (so you have the 15 top scorers in the league on your team).

Once you have done that, just sim the last game of the season and pop goes the cheevo!

Great suggestion, far better than relying on luck, I only had to trade 2 platers as they were miles ahead of the rest come the end of season, cheers :)

Like the previous poster said, so much easier than constantly resimming the whole season out of luck, I did it about 6 times and still no achievement.

Why your method isn't the top one I do not know!

Likely because I posted this so late. Appreciate the positive votes though!

This is a great suggestion, but not foolproof. Leave it to me to discover that...

I made sure the top 15 players were on my team. Guess who won MVP? Player 16. Hah.

I'll try again later today and hopefullly this will work for me.

I tried for quite a while today with a Lakers team full of best players and was getting nowhere, so i tried switching the created player and other top players about a bit but was still getting nowhere, so then i started again with Default settings, chose Lakers and.....PLINK!!...achievement unlocked first time.

Yeah if you stack a team with great players you will never get mvp. you need 1 great player with a bunch of nobodies. I didn't try the twolves but 1st try with the lakers on default settings unlocked the achievement.

Thumbs down coz this was purely luck for you and not an actual solution, tried 5 or 6 times with timberwolves on various settings and no luck, follow the solution below this one and that worked first time.

This is one of the season achievements that can be easily obtained by simming. I used the spurs and set the difficulty to Rookie and got majority of them.

In order to get this one legitimately you need to play very well with one of your players. You need to get a lot of points, assists, steals, rebounds, and blocks or any combination of them to get your stats up.

A more precise way to get this is to sim a season but to use the edit user options to make a few players on your team max out at 99 on each attribute. Trade Kobe Bryant, max him out and you stand a better change of getting it rather then just by dumb luck.

If you sim a season with the Lakers you will most likely get this. The T-Wolves is also a good choice.
See “All-Star” for simming tips.
