How to unlock the Blocking fest achievement in NBA LIVE 08 - Definitive Guide
There are 4 main ways to get this achievement. Take whichever you like, but I'll put them in order of which ones are the hardest to the easiest. Also, you can mix and match for your best strategy. For all of these strategies, though, make sure that the quarter length are 12 minutes, difficulty is set to "Rookie", all foul frequencies are turned all the way down, and the Shot Clock is turned on (if it's off, the computer has a bad habit of not shooting the ball).
1) Do this achievement legitimately. **Note: This will take forever.**
2) Create a character who is 7'4" and put him on which ever team that you're going to be playing. He should be able to block most players shooting for the basket.
3) Create 8 players who are 5'4". Pick which ever team you will be facing off against and sign all 8 of these players to that team and release all of the players from the team that were there before. Now the team should have 8 players named "Created Player" who are all 5'4" who won't be able to shoot over almost any of your players.
4) You'll need at least one wireless controller for this one. There's a glitch in the game that you can exploit. Start a 2-player game (one user on each team) with the profile of the person trying to get this achievement being the blocker [now being called "P1"] and the other controller being the blocked team [now being called "P2"]. Whenever P1 has the ball, make sure that P2 steals it away and moves outside the arch. Whenever P2 has the ball, make sure that the player guarding him is computer controlled (they're better at blocking than you'll be) and that P2 takes shots while being heavily guarded. Just about every shot that P2 takes will be blocked by P1.
Here's the most important part of the glitch in the game. Make sure that P1's team has 15 blocks total (or if you're trying to get "Blocks individual record", that one of those players has 18 blocks). When you're sure that there's enough, remove the battery from the controller of P2. The team selection screen should pop up with only P1's controller lit up and on their selected team while P2 is now dulled and in the middle. Press "A" to continue. There will be a note that says "Warning: Switching now will cause you to lose any progress you've made towards an achievement so far. Continue?" Just ignore it and continue. Pause again and go to "Quit Game" and "Rematch". When the tip-off starts, the achievement will unlock.
I know that you might be thinking "Android, it says in a solo game vs. the CPU, that can't possibly work. You're retarded!" But that's how I got the achievement and that's how I suggest you get it, otherwise this achievement will eat up your days trying to get it. If it doesn't unlock at the tip-off, just try again. I PROMISE that this works although I can't tell you why it works.

The easiest way to do this is to release a whole teams roster. Sign a bunch of PG's and SG's. Place a bunch of Centers and PF's on your team. This achievement should come quick.
