How to unlock the Punt Return for TD achievement in NCAA Football 07 - Definitive Guide
This achievement is actually pretty tricky since there is really no way to cheat for it. It will NOT unlock if you have a friend help on the other team and just run away from your returner. You must also do this on Varsity difficulty or higher. I did mine in Dynasty mode, not sure if it works in Play Now (does work in play now, confirmed by zyxomma100).
I played Dynasty as Ohio State who has a PR with 99 speed. If you sim to the 2nd season, your first game will be vs 1AA Northwest which is probably the worst team in the game.
The video below shows my strategy for getting the punt return for TD. You will want to run backwards in zigzag pattern and try to bunch the other team up as much as possible. When you think you have a clear path, try to get around the corner and you should be smooth sailing to the end zone. This may not work every time, still need some help from your blockers, but should get it after a few tries. It also helps to have them punt from as far on their end of field as possible so that you have more room to run backwards. I found that either PR left or right works the best.

Well, it worked on my second shot, what do you know. I had to run all the way into the back of my own end zone, use the impact stick on a tackle, and the punter almost got me when I got stuck on my own man (collision detection in this game is horrible), but I got it..
Oh yeah, it does unlock on Play Now mode. I did it against Air Force.

...Wait, what? I ran it all the way to the pylon to avoid the punter, and the game gave me the achievement, but I just realized I didn't actually score a touchdown, the ref called me out at the 2 inch line.
Maybe I did actually make it and I was supposed to challenge the call or something, but it's pretty funny that the game sort of glitched on me like that.

Everything Elem3ntal80 says is spot on but you can abuse the edit roster to make this a complete cake walk. Pick a team and edit the the punt returner to have 99 speed. Then pick another team and edit every player's speed down to 0. Start a play now with these two teams and force them to punt (you can put offsides to 0 and stand a defender next to the QB to speed this up). Then simply run it back for 6, while laughing at how slow the other team is.

Okay, I would recommend BadTriangle's solution to this. It's very funny because the opposing team hardly moves away from the line of scrimmage. Thought I would have to atleast dodge 1 or 2 people but no one came within 15 yards of me. One additional tidbit though...to edit your players and your opponents stats, you cannot go to the overall stat column to make changes. Go to the speed column right next to it. The speed is the only thing that needs to be changed. This should not matter what teams you choose for either side. Get ready to laugh!
