NCAA Football 08

1)From the main menu go to:
My NCAA 08>Settings>Game AI
2)Once there hold LT and select special teams.
3)Set your FG Power and FG Accuracy to 100 to ensure
that you can not only kick it at least 50 yards, but that
you can accurately kick the ball 50 yards.

Notes:
1)When kicking the ball you must add 17 yards from the
line of scrimage, so the closest you can be is the 33 yard
line.
2)The play "Field Goal" can be selected on any down, not
just 4th down.
3)For added assurance you can also edit the kicker of the
team you plan on using from the main menu by selecting:

a)My NCAA 08>Team Management>View/Edit Rosters
From there hold LT until the rosters of your chosen
team are selected.
b)Then hold RT and scroll up until you reach K, or Kicker.
c)Select your Kicker and press LB once.
d)Scroll down until you reach Kick Power and Kick
Accuracy. Raise these stats to 100

Probably best to sort all the kickers in the game by Overall Skill in order to determine which team gives you the best chance of a 50 yarder. (View Rosters) Some college kickers just don't have enough power to make it there from 50+.

Oregon State worked for me. They have the best kicker in the game.
