How to unlock the Place at the Table! achievement in NCAA Football 09 - Definitive Guide
The quickest way I found was to Use an Existing Player in campus legend mode. Go to Georgia Tech and select the second string QB (QB #19). Play one practice and get 21 points (or however many practices you need). The achievement pops once practice is over.
I made my Campus Legend a QB to start with, The first 2 games are really easy to beat. Just audible when you get a running play and make it a quick pass or a pass play. When you have somebody open just pass it to them. Continue to do this till you win your games. If you did good like me and get 4+ TD's a game you should be noticed and ranked quite high.
I picked Western Michigan as my team when I got drafted. I was their backup. Just do a couple of practice drills and get 1st downs and TD's and you should move up. What your looking for is on the bottom part of the screen it should say points to next position on depth chart. Get this to say 0 then finish the drill the achievement should then pop for you.
Enjoy and if you have any feedback or tips feel free to add them in the comments and I will add them and give you credit.
the funny thing i got it after practice so i didnt even have to start a season hahhhha
thanks for the info ,i just started my first practice and watched the depth chart ..
thanks very easy

When you finish the High School state chamionship, every top 25 school will recruit you(If you played good enough). Pick a team that says you will be the 2nd string for your chosen positon and start your college career.
Once into your career select practice and try and score touchdowns, get first downs, etc... during practice. While you practice you will notice in the bottom left corner it says points till depth chart position. Get this all the way to 0, and when you finish your last practice the achievement will unlock. It should take 2-3 days of practice to claim the starting job, depending on how good you do in practice. If you're 2nd string on a not so good team, it will only take you a few days of practice, but if you are 2nd string on a team like Florida, then it might take 2-3 weeks of practice. The better the team is, the more points you need to get to become the starter.
