How to unlock the Blue Chip achievement in NCAA Football 11 - Definitive Guide
No need to BUY points at all for this achievement - the EASIEST way is just to tweek the settings in your favor! And make the CPU suck at everything! I got this by Simming 2 games in Road To Glory Mode and my QB was already at 5-stars. So please SAVE your MS points for something MORE useful.......
There are two ways to earn this achievement. The easy way, which costs 160 MSP, or the way I didn't do it, which involves a little bit of gaming.
Easy way: When you start a road to glory game, choose to play in the high school tournament. Before you start up the first game, press the Y button. This will give you the option to "buy upgrades". Choose the pack for whatever kind of player you are, and allow it to download. Now play one high school game. At the end of the game, you will be a 5-star prospect and the achievement will unlock.
The hard way: Choose your player to be a quarterback. While playing the high school tournament, throw for as many yards and touchdowns as you can, and get sacked as few times as possible.
If you're still having trouble, set the difficulty to Freshman in the pre-game options so that the AI isn't that good. Change the penalties and Custom A.I. settings to the highest for the humans, and lowest for the CPU. This will make it so that almost every play goes the distance. After a game or two of high stats the achievement should unlock.

That's a little better advice and tips does it matter which team as a favourite when starting the game.Is there a way to edit my comment above?

No way to edit the comment, currently. I know it sucks. The team that you pick doesn't matter either, because they'll all be just random players the computer generated for the handful of games you'll be playing in the high school tournament.

How well you do during the High School tournament depends on what type of star prospect you are. If you play every game, after you win the High School championship you should be a 5-star prospect.
To get 5-star prospect going into your college football career, you need to have won the State Championship and have done decent in your playoff games. Just play on Freshman and win all the games with about 3-4 touchdowns in each game.
