How to unlock the Lock It Up achievement in NCAA Football 11 - Definitive Guide
In the interest of trying to have the easiest solution possible show up on TrueAchievements, I got this achievement the very first play I tried it by using the following method:
Use two controllers. User (you) is Controller 1 and chooses Alabama.
Controller 2 is San Jose State.
You can go in an adjust sliders on players if you wish. I did for the top 2 Alabama CB's - but I didn't touch any of the players on San Jose State.
I did have all the User sliders set to 100 and all the CPU sliders set to 0 - but I'm not sure if that means anything when you are using the two controller method.
Anyhow, start an exhibition game between Alabama and San Jose State. Make sure to kickoff to San Jose State. I tried to make sure the ball ended up between the 5 and 10 yard line, and downed it there.
At this point I turned off the play clock (trust me - you want to do this), and I adjusted the "Player Min Speed" to 0 through the "House Rules" menu under the "Settings" option.
For Alabama choose the defense "MAN", then "MAN COVERAGE", find the play named "Double Outside" (it's # 24 of 39). Pick this defense.
For San Jose State, choose "Pass", "Standard Pass" and pick the play "Y Shallow Cross" (#2 of 62).
Once everything is set up, have Controller 1 (controlling Alabama's Defense) press the "B" button and cycle through until you are controlling Player #21 (the CB lining up across from the WR labeled "B" (he should be Player #9) on the offense - he should be on the far right hand side of your screen). Now press the Right Stick so that he is "locked" on (a little padlock symbol should appear under the Alabama CB).
Now have Controller 2 (San Jose State) hike the ball, let the QB complete his drop and then TAP B (don't hold it down ) so that the QB LOBS the ball to the receiver on that side.
Now at this point some people recommend that you quickly pick up Controller 1, move the CB in front of the receiver, and intercept the ball using the "Y" button. I didn't do that. I just let the computer control the CB. He easily intercepted the ball, and I picked up Controller 1 and angled my way into the end zone. The achievement popped as soon as I scored.
There is also the recommendation out there that instead of controlling the CB after the interception, you stay with Controller 2 and continually press B (which will choose the San Jose player closest to your CB) and move them out of the CB's way on his way to the end zone. I didn't find that necessary, but it's an option if you aren't having immediate success.
Good luck.
[[Hat-tip to cowboy bob over at xbox360a for the implementation.]]
(As a caveat I should mention that I never tried the "RTG CB" method. I tried the "NCAA Football 10" method (using Alabama instead of Florida) and I tried the "NCAA Football 9" method (adjusting sliders and playing against Hawai'i) - but all I did was waste a lot of time. I got the achievement on the very first play after the kickoff using this method. So I'm assuming you should have as easy a time with it.)

This method works, but you need to set the difficulty to Heisman. I went through 100+ attempts and the CB drops the ball a lot on Freshman. Took 3 attempts on Heisman.

Got it first try. Thank you!!

this can be done a few different ways.
i did this in RTG mode, using a corner. as you are stuck in player lock on every play, all you need to focus on is intercepting the ball and taking it back to the house. this requires a great deal of patience, since the cpu rarely throws it your way unless you are in a bad position, in which case you will have a hard time intercepting the ball.
the second way, i have not confirmed. this is, however, how i accomplished this same feat in ncaa 10. edit the rosters of an entire starting lineup of any team so that all their players have minimum stats. using pretty much any team, though i would recommend a high caliber team such as alabama or texas, go into a play now game.
this requires 2 controllers. using the lead profile you wish to get the achievement on, select the high quality team of your choice. using a second controller, select the team you've broken. call a passing play with the bad team, and prevent with good team. before snapping the ball, defensive hot route all your defensive linemen into deep coverage zones. now, send all the receivers on streaks except one. send the last receiver on a curl route. now go into player lock on defense. when you snap the ball, you should have forever to throw, since there will be no rushers. wait until the receiver has run the curl, then run in front of him with your player locked player. lob the ball to the receiver, and quickly switch back to the other controller to pick it off. because the offense is so awful, you should be able to return it for a touchdown with remarkable ease.

Co-op is two players on the same team. The achievements can still be gotten in 2 player versus.

I don't think 2 controllers will work with this. I did this 3 times with two controllers and it didn't pop. Weird b/c 2 controllers worked on the in the crosshairs achievement. I finally got it on RTG using a CB in the 2nd game of the playoffs.

You use 2 controllers. The team for the account you want the achievement pick Alabama. For the other controller pick a team such as Western Kentucky. Now change the AI to 100 for interception. I also had difficulty on freshman so I would not get run down from behind. Now when going for the achievement I had Western Kentucky running curls at the first down. I would lock onto the corner on the wide side of the field by pushing down on the left thumb stick when you do this you will not be able to play as any other person on the team and the player that you are stuck on is the one that has to intercept the pass and return it for a touchdown. Put the corner at the first down before the snap and change the curl to be a 10 yard curl or at the first down by going to the hot route with the offense. Wait until the receiver does the curl and that the corner is in front of him. Now after the throw intercept the pass by holding y and return it for a touchdown. It wont take many tries to unlock.

I did this within one minute of attempting the achievement. When on defense, press the Right Analog Stick to player lock. If you are playing against the computer, your view will change. If you are playing against a friend or a 2nd controller (that you are controlling) you will hear a weird sound (loud click).
The easiest way to do this is with a 2nd controller. Have the second controller sitting on your lap. Pick Alabama with the controller you want the achievement. Pick a D rated school with the other controller. When the D rated school has the ball around their own 25 it is time to get the achievement easily.
Before the play, take control of your free safety. Take your 2nd controller and pick any play (I did a tight end post). Hike the ball with the 2nd controller and throw a lob off your back foot. This will be a duck. Grab the other controller and simply user pick the ball (very easy, especially done in rookie). Now you will have maybe three or four lineman to beat. Run the ball to the sideline while taking the 2nd controller and hitting B to control the player nearest to the ball. Keep taking control of the defensive players and make sure they stop running. You will have a free path to the endzone. Very easy achievement with a nice ratio!

the best way to do this is which ever team you are playing against (or play against Hawaii) is to go to the coaching philosophy and turn the passing all the way up so the team does more passing plays then take a DB but do not try to cover the WR manually let the computer do it until the computer controlled QB throws towards the man you're covering
you might want to play longer quarters to get more chances

To player lock someone, press . Cover someone and hope the QB throws to them. Then when the ball gets thrown to that receiver, press when the thrown ball is near you.
This is actually much easier than I thought it would be. Set up an Exhibition match on Freshman difficulty with as much time as you want. Go into House Rules > Custom AI and set the User Interceptions and Pass Coverage to 100. Then when you play defense, click in the to lock onto a player. Keep doing this until the quarterback throws in your direction and return it for a touchdown. It's much easier with the adjusted AI sliders. I used middle linebacker to get it.
