Pick your player as ROLB (coverage) and QB (balanced). Make your player 7'0" (all the better to block with). Wait till 4th down, position yourself in front of the punter (not too close, but not so close to the center that another player picks up your blitz) and SPAM the LB button to swat it down. Hopefully you should get it.

I tried MLB, I tried FS, I tried CB, I tried just about every defensive position. I simmed about 50 games. I even had a game where I watched FOUR of my teammates get defensive TDs. Nothing worked.

Here's what did. Seeing that the QB typically throws outside instead of over the middle, I picked ROLB (first position, coverage), hoping for INTs. I got a couple while simming, but no TDs.

So I started actually playing the defensive plays and simming the offense. (My secondary position was QB, balanced, and I got plenty of TDs as QB.) What I found was that I almost ALWAYS got put on punt return. Even in series where I was skipped over for other downs, on 4th down I still found myself on punt duty. Perfect. After a few punts, blocking two of them but not recovering them, I was finally able to scoop one in for the TD.

This achievement ticked me off so much. I played it basically for 3 days trying for this last cheeve for 1k. I hope you can do better. :-)

Edit: Just for reference, the achievement will not pop until the end of the game, so you're going to have to sweat it out if you think you've gotten the 2 TDs. Best of luck!

Thanks for the tips Sasha. Once I figure out how to block punts it worked like a charm. I would like to add to make sure to do it outside of their 10 yard line, or they go into a formation with more people around the punter.

I was actually able to sim with my QB on offensive plays and get TDs that way. I only went in during 4th down punt plays, so I guess the sim gave me better opportunities for TDs.

Accidentally deleted my comment. In response to the above, when I tried using the ROLB / QB method, for whatever reason the achievement didn't unlock even though I had been credited with an offensive touchdown while simming?

Any idea if playing on a low difficulty, or if simming out the rest of the game after you've scored both offensive and defensive TDs affects this? I played the game on freshman, threw and rushed for a TD, and recovered a blocked punt for a TD, and unfortunately, no cheeve :(. Any thoughts?

I just got it; I did up the difficulty to Varsity, but honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if the cheeve just didn't decide to work last game. At any rate, fantastic guide. +1!

Is there a trick to blocking punts? I'm able to get out and stand near the punter but he knocks me over or i tackle him. Thanks!

It's tricky. Run up as he's in the motion and SPAM the LB. Just keep trying. It took me a bunch of times.

great tip. best way to go IMO. Key i found for me was standing directly behind the long snapper because when id run at the punter at an angle I would swat it but somebody would always get it, then I ran straight and swatted it to the endzone for the easy 1k achievement. Thanks!

Nice guide. I've done this 4 times though on Varsity, and All american and still haven't got the achievement. None of the TDs were simulated. Seriously getting pissed off now. Might delete my save because this same thing happened with ncaa 2008..

This is by far the best solution. I tried every thing out there many, many times and had zero luck. I did it this method and in the first game I got two scoop and scores as my ROLB on punt return. Remember to adjust the sliders and turn off offsides and I adjusted the CPU Tackling and Punt Power (hit LT to change from USER) to zero.

I got very very lucky with this achievement. I was following your guide, and after probably 4 games, I happened to return an interception while simming. Then I just made it downfield and threw a touchdown. Also, the achievement didn't pop until the game was over, so don't freak out :)

Great solution, was never on punt block as a CB in my previous RTG, but as a ROLB was on punt block, and 2nd punt I was in for the opposing punter lined up in the endzone, I hit him, he coughed up the ball, I scored, and then I wished I could teabag him :-p

Awesome, thanks! Got it first game, right near the end of the 4th quarter. Knocked down a couple earlier, but couldn't get to them, then finally had a perfect one straight behind the punter. Scooped it up at about the 10 and just got in before being tackled. 8)

Worked like a charm, got it 2nd game after i got used to the angle the punt camera is in. actually ended up with 3 defencive TD's using this. the key is to have it bouce off your chest and go 5 yards or so away from the punter, otherwise someone on the punt team might get to it and just be a safety instead.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong. This is the 6th game that I have an offensive and defensive TD in the same game and no cheevo. I have tried deleting all previous save files and starting from scratch. My last game I had two rushing TD's (HB) and two Def TD from forced fumbles, i blocked punt and 1 QB fumble. Still nothing popped. I have it on varsity difficulty, have not changed any options except offsides. Help please?

Best and easiest way to get this achievement.

Make a player with his primary position HB and secondary position CB

Once in the RTG menu to go RTG house rules. Change the difficulty to freshman and go to the user settings. Change the interception to 100.

Now go into a game and super sim the whole game. Its took me 3 games to get it.

NOTE: The achievement will pop at the end of the game

I tried this for an entire season, nothing. Loaded the RTG back to week 1 and simmed another 4 games, nothing. Now starting over again. I may just try and play for it here pretty soon.

I finally got this last night! I did exactly what was said. Except I made my primary position CB and secondary HB!!! I had to sim about 30 games and it finally popped in the state tourney!!! Also idk if this makes a difference or not but I changed the skill set to All-American when I finally got this! Great guide and thanks dude

finally got this after simming/playing 4 separate seasons. Made primary CB 6'5" tried with all American difficulty then after 3 games switched it to freshmen and set all CPU settings to 0 except FG and Punt settings I left them alone 5 games later round to of the state tournament I finally got it. 3* CB 5* HB

Finally got this but I was actually playing the game getting offsides sacks to boost my CB to five stars. In the 4th game I was going for a sack missed the QB, he ran to his right, got hit hard by one of my guys and fumbled it, since I was still going after him I was first person closest and was able to scoop up the fumble and run it back about 15 yards for the defensive touchdown, Woohoo!. After that the HB touchdown was easy

I finally got it in the 1st game of my 7th season of simulating. It just seems to be random luck as to when you may finally get. For some of us it took a while, but some got it quickly. Just keep at it and you'll eventually get it.

In the State championship of the second season I finally got it! I changed the difficulty to all American and I was getting far more interceptions than on freshman. So of you're having trouble up the difficulty.

I simmed about 7 seasons and didn't get it.But then I made the HB balanced and the CB Hard hitter, then it worked. I usually had the CB coverage which was bad for me. I had the difficulty freshman. Both my players where 5 stars too. (I paid 80+80 microsoft points for the 5 star players) This is a message for people who are struggling at simming this. Don't give up it does work.

You, my friend, are a tremendous help! I did exactly as you described. Went through the entire season and postseason in High School RTG and didn't get it (was playing on Freshmen difficulty). Once the Playoffs were over and I didn't get it, I quite out and restarted it (I had turned off Autosave and saved my progress just before the first game). I changed the difficulty to All-American, however, and got this in the very first game. Got this Achievement on December 11, 2015. Thanks again!

I tried many variations, but found this one to be best. I was HB/FS Speed/Coverage respectively. I found almost every punt I was on the coverage team. About 80-85% of them. Line up offside ( with offside turned off ) and go for the blocked punt. Pick it up and run it in. Make sure you score with your HB too. Ach will pop at end of game. Note skipping ( pressing LB ) 1st-3rd down punt me on the defensive punt cover team a lot more than simming ( RB ) did. I just played a game where I tested this theory and 1/3 times in the first half simming I was on the punt team and 4/4 time skipping 1st-3rd I was on the punt team.

Dude I did this for 2 full games and I was never once on punt coverage. With the ( pressing LB ) simming for the first 3-4 games, then actually playing a 3-4 games after re-loading. AHHHHHH!! Ive tried every persons solution for this achievement on this site and nothing has worked. I havent voted negative for anybody but its so frustrating.

Playing on All-American, I was a QB/MLB, so I was on the Punt coverage team. You will pretty much get a free release down field every time.

I forced a fumble by the return man by using a big hit right after he caught the punt and then returned it for a touchdown. Fumbles by the return man seem to happen on a fairly normal basis, if you can time it right and they don't fair catch it.

I can get at least one forced fumble that way a game. I don't always recover it, but it does help pad your defensive stats for Ultimate Ironman achievement too.

This seems to be the easiest way (if you want to be legit and not simulate it), unless you're a good DB and can pick off passes all day long, which I'm not.

This trophy is extremely luck based. For this trophy, you need to play on both sides of the ball during your high school season and score a TD on both sides of the ball in a single game. Scoring the offensive TD will come easily if you choose to be a QB. For defense, you will either need to return an interception or a fumble for a TD while playing through your games.

Easiest method I found that worked for me was creating a QB/CB and just simply simulated entire games until I scored a defensive TD. You don't have to actually play at all and the trophy will pop at the end of the game. This method could take one game or two RTG high school seasons. It took me 6 weeks to achieve it this way but still is less time taking and easier then playing in my opinion.

When you are making your player for Road to Glory, you now have the option to give him a secondary position. Select one for offense and one for defense. I found it easier to get you player to a 5 star on defense because my player started to get more force fumbles once I had him at 5 stars.
