How to unlock the I am Doug Flutie achievement in NCAA Football 13 - Definitive Guide
1. Choose “no” for autosave.
2. Keep school and style the same
3. Go to Heisman challenge House Rules, change skill to freshman, turn off injuries and fatigue, and max out all user sliders, minimize all AI sliders.
4. Go to the my NCAA tab and click on strategy. Go to audibles – offense. Make sure one of your audibles is “Four Verticals.” If it isn’t, add it looking by formation “Shotgun – Trey Open.” I also would add the play Stick N Nod as an audible as well.
5. Go ahead and save now.
6. When playing the game, I would audible to the Four Verticals play 90% of the time.
7. I played the first three games only, getting about 900-1000 yards passing and 12-15 TD passes each game. Save here. Now sim the rest, you should have no trouble getting the Heisman. If by chance you don’t, just quit and load back up to your previous save point and repeat (I never had to try it again btw on any of them). I played the first THREE games because I tried it a couple of times after playing just the first TWO, and wouldn’t be ranked first for Heisman. Playing 3 ensures that.

I found for RB I could play 1 game and sim and still get it, QB 2 or 3 (depending on goals), and needed 3 for WR (hardest one, IMO, as the CPU would scramble or throw it elsewhere even when I was wide open and hitting A!)
Key is controlling your plays and knowing your goals. If total yards or return yards are not a goal (or you already met it), run out of bounds...less return yards=more running/ receiving yards!
FYI, on a few occassions I did NOT meet all the goals, but still did get the Heisman/ achv.

You are very correct. Oh, I definitely agree about getting the Heisman for Desmond Howard it was so hard getting passes thrown to me - but, what I found was, after I started the game, I would just skip each play, and he would get the ball like crazy on that skipped play.

For all the Heisman QB challenges, I would suggest switching the team to Florida State. The first two games of their season are against FCS teams, so playing these two games and racking up the stats almost ensures you can simulate until the end of the season. Sometimes you can get away with playing only the first game and simming, but make sure you turn autosave off and save after each game you play.
Unlocked after completing the Heisman Challenge with Doug Flutie. These are the season goals that you should aim for in order to win the Heisman.
- 3,454 Passing Yards in a season
- 27 Passing Touchdowns in a season
- 6 Passing Touchdowns in a game
- 472 Passing Yards in a game
Remember to read the Roadmap for an easy way to complete the challenge in under 20 minutes.
