How to unlock the Welcome to the Club achievement in NCAA Football 13 - Definitive Guide

This is another one of those that you can get by simming and combine it with other achievements.

First, start Dynasty (coach contracts on) and create a coach. Make sure that you set up your alma mater as one of these three schools. (I chose Texas State, but your choice.) Pick that school. You'll pop this as you advance:
NCAA Football 13Dream JobThe Dream Job achievement in NCAA Football 13 worth 52 pointsBecome the head coach of your alma mater in Dynasty (Coach Contracts on).

TURN AUTOSAVE OFF.

I usually set custom conferences. Move your team to the SEC West so you play top-ranked opponents. Add USC (#2) and Oregon (#4) to your schedule.

Go to the Team Management tab and select Edit Rosters. Make your QB and 2 WRs all 99s. Might want to do your HB as well. I also make a DT and a CB 99 too... INTs and sacks slow them down.

If you've played this before, you probably know the next part. Go to Dynasty Setup and change the house rules. Skill and Recruiting to Freshman. Injuries and Fatigue off. Player Min Speed Threshold to zero, so your fast players outrun theirs. (Your X receiver should always get well past the defender on any long bomb play.) I turned off Home Field and Ice effects.

RB, Offsides off, Holding off. RB, all User stats to 99, all CPU stats to zero except punting, so you can gain more yardage on a drive (which will help your stats).

Now sim through the season, game by game. If you want to sim in a game you can, that way you can intervene if necessary. Long pass plays will do wonders, especially with your X and B receivers at 99.

Make sure you save before the championship game. Thanks to Yellow Screams for reminding me that you have to play (and win) the BCS Championship Game. You can sim through as long as you make one play, but you have to go into the game and play it. If it doesn't pop for you, reload and replay the championship.

You should pop all of these at once:
NCAA Football 13Welcome to the ClubThe Welcome to the Club achievement in NCAA Football 13 worth 122 pointsWin the National Championship in year 1 of Dynasty with either UMASS, UTSA, or Texas State.
NCAA Football 13Hometown HeroThe Hometown Hero achievement in NCAA Football 13 worth 103 pointsLead your alma mater to a National Championship as a head coach in Dynasty (Coach Contracts on).
NCAA Football 13Living LegendThe Living Legend achievement in NCAA Football 13 worth 88 pointsReach a coach prestige of A+ with a created coach in Dynasty (Coach Contracts on).

You might even pop the Heisman.

If you work on your recruiting, you can also pop these at the same time:
NCAA Football 13Dual Threat CoachThe Dual Threat Coach achievement in NCAA Football 13 worth 337 pointsWin the BCS Championship & have the #1 recruiting class in a single season as head coach in Dynasty.
NCAA Football 13Best Class EverThe Best Class Ever achievement in NCAA Football 13 worth 29 pointsHave the #1 ranked recruiting class in a season in single team Dynasty Mode.

I tried this with Texas State. I went undefeated and won the National Championship. I popped the Hometown Hero Achievement and the Let's Do It Again achievement for resigning a contract but Welcome to the Club didn't pop

That makes... no sense. I did mine with Texas State as well. That's the exact requirement. I'm assuming you did it in year 1...? If so, I have no clue whatsoever.

Yeah year one and everything. I also didn't get the Living Legend to pop even though I'm now A+. I'll just keep trying

I tried simming first seasons 3 more times. Finally on the last one I played the Title game and it popped. I simmed the next season after that and Living Legend popped on year 2

Gah. That sucks. Sorry about that. I have zero idea what didn't work. I mean, that's what it says in the description. Really really weird.

You HAVE to play in the national championship game, after you win it will pop while your team is celebrating.

Crap, that's right. I just realized I didn't put that in there.

While I guess it seems obvious to me in retrospect, you may want to add that you can't sim ANY plays when you play in the Natty. I played the majority of the game but simmed a couple of kickoffs and PATs, and no cheeve the first time through.

That's something that I didn't consider at all. I usually just play through the game anyway. I'll put that in as well.

I was playing all my games with UMass set to freshman and the game freezes loading up week 4 against Ohio after I had defeated Michigan, Florida State and Florida in a custom schedule to improve my quality of opposition.

You don't need to play the Nat title game. You do however have to start it but you can super sum it you'll get it as long as you win.

Also there isn't a need to change your conference but you do need to add Alabama USC Michigan Boise state Georgia LSU and Oregon to your schedule. Go 12-0 and you'll be in the title game.

You can sim the National Championship game and still get it. You just have to make sure you enter the game and supersim it. I played one play, won the game and got the achevo.

I used UTSA, made my custom schedule with all the high ranked teams, my players at skill 99 on freshman setting. After simming the season (which takes FOREVER) my team went 12-0 and I was ranked #3 at the end of the season. I didn't get to play for the NC and now I get to do it all over again. P.S. In my season the Tulsa Golden Hurricane won the NC??????!

Do you have to have a new coach. I went with the existing coach and won the BCS title my first season and no achievement.

I have no clue. I used a created coach to get a few at once. It would make sense that you just have to coach them. I don't know why you didn't get it.

Man, that double sucks. I wasn't even expecting Living Legend, but when I checked my prestige, A+. Hopefully it'll pop on your second run.

I'm assuming you maxed out your players and did custom conferences? Try again... should be able to sim through most of the season that way and test it again. If I remember, one of the Maddens had a glitch where too many achievements would cause some to not pop. Maybe that's what you're running into. :-(

I tried getting the recruiting achievements with this playing as UMass, since there is less competition from other schools there, and finished around #50 even having created a bunch of 5 star prospects. Probably best to leave the recruitment achievements as a separate dynasty.

To do this fast, create a dynasty with 1-minute quarters. I used UTSA for this achievement. Edit the schedule so that you play several ranked teams. Also, YOU CAN play others teams' games and make them lose. I was 11-0 and ranked #9 so I had to make a few teams lose to be sure. The achievement pops the moment the BCS championship game ends.

This trophy isn't as hard as it sounds. Whichever team you decide to choose, I suggest editing the rosters.

If you want to save some time, search jmowen in the Roster Share menu and download my roster. I have maxed out the majority of the Texas State players.

Set the difficulty to Freshman to make things easier for you. What you want to do is sim game by game. When you win, save your dynasty. If you lose, back out and replay that week. At the end of the season, you need to be ranked 1st or 2nd in order to be invited to the national championship. Accomplish that, you will need to play, not sim, the championship game. For some reason, each time I simmed the championship game and won, the trophy did not unlock. When I played and won it, the trophy popped. You need to win the game for the trophy.

Start up a Dynasty with Texas State and create a custom schedule. Change the schedule to match the teams that I have selected to play against. You need to create matches against top ranked teams in order for you to get a chance to play in the BCS Championship.

1: Alabama
2: USC
3: Open
4: Michigan
5: LSU
6: Boise State
8: Open
12: Georgia

Now is the time to edit some of your players on your roster. Scroll over to the Team Management menu and go down to Edit Roster. Edit your QB, HB, 3 WRs, and your Center stats to increase their rating to 99.

Another definite way to win when simulating is by editing the other team's Quarterback. At the Edit Roster screen, press and hold  and you can select other teams in the league. Find the team you play next and edit their QB's Awareness, Throw Power, and Throw Accuracy down to zero.

You MUST play and win the BSC game in order for the achievement to unlock. Simulating the game will not work. Although, you can start the game and use SUPERSIM to win the game. Just make sure you actually come out on top!
