Tune a car to max drift or grip settings

How to unlock the Beyond Extreme achievement in Need for Speed - Definitive Guide

To obtain this achievement simply go into your garage. Car I got it with is the toyota supra. I went full grip with this one. The parts I used are as follows:

Sway bars part is a R part
Air filter is a S part
Cooling system is a S part
Intake manifold is a S part
Fuel system is a S part
Forced induction is a S part
Electric system is a S part
Ignition is a S part
Ecu is a S part
Engine block is a S part
Cam shaft is a S+ part
Cylinder heads is a S part
Exhaust manifold is a S part
Exhaust system is a S part
Clutch is a S part
Nitrous is R part (doesn't matter)
Suspension is a S part
Differential is a E part
Tires is a R part
Brakes is a E part
Handbrake is a E part

Your car will need more handling parts than horsepower parts to be able to tune to full grip. Once you've added the necessary parts press B to go back and go to the tuning selection. Press Up to select the handling style and select yes to change it. Push the blue dot all the way to the right for max grip and press A to confirm. Go back out to the main garage car selection area and the achievement will pop.

Hey guys, don't forget to leave your garage. I was playing with the sliders and trying to figure out why the achievement wouldn't unlock, but when I saved my tuning and left my garage, the achievement popped during the loading screen.

Works on any car except some cars like Ferrari where you cant customize individual body parts. Just apply the extreme parts (marked by orange) for all components. the last part is unlocked at rep level 50! so it cant be unlocked any earlier. Then go to handle tuning and move the sliders for each category individually all the way to the right(grip) or left(drift). You will probably be just an inch closer to achieving your target. That inch is obtained by applying other spoilers over the stock spoilers. Go to visual customization to apply new spoiler. This will unlock the downforce component which was previously locked in handle tuning section. Slide this as well to right or left and confirm the settings and the achievement will unlock

You will not be able to get this trophy straight off the bat you must complete a few races to unlock some performance parts then you have to tailor your car using parts made for grip/drift only then can you get the maximum out of the master slider.

You could add the parts specifically, like sway bar, brakes, handbrake and tyres being the main ones that increase the length of the slider.

As easy as it sounds! From your garage, go to tuning customisation, then using the master slider at the top (marked: Handling style) and move the slider all the way to either grip, or drift. Then just exit out of the garage after saving changes.

To be able to fully master tune a car to either Drift or Grip in the Handling Tuning option within the garage, you must first purchase the top tier (E-Elite stage) performance parts for the following;

-Suspension: Fully Adjustable Suspension
-Differential: Fully Adjustable Differential
-Tires: Either Xtreme-GRIP tires or Xtreme-DRIFT tires
-Brakes: Fully Adjustable Brakes
-Handbrake: Fully Adjustable Handbrake
-Sway Bars: Fully Adjustable Sway Bars

The final unlock are the Sway Bars at REP level 47. This applies to all vehicles and therefore this achievement can be earned on any car in the game. You will be able to see how much a specific performance part allows you to adjust the slider when browsing parts by looking at the line of dots under the description, as shown below in the image.
