How to unlock the Danger Zone achievement in Need for Speed Heat - Definitive Guide

Not going to explain every speed trap as most of these are pretty straight forward. But the one most of you will most likely struggle is going to be "River Fever", I tried this several times with the koenigsegg regera but could not make it, after switching to the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 73' and equiping it with all ultimate+ parts I made it going UPHILL on my second try, I started nosing just after the last bend and kept nosing untill I crossed the speedline. I did this with 5 x 3lb tanks and with this setup and method I reached 343,39km/h. The requirement for this speed is 338km/h

You need a car with absolute parts and a strength of about 400. On some radars, a car with a reputation level of 50 will help

I calmly passed all the radars on KOENIGSEGG Regera *16, which seemed to be given out as reputation level 50!

Despite the fairly simple radars in this game, many had problems on the "river rush" in the Fort Callahan area in the northwestern part of the map. I’m no exception, I had to spend 2 days, a bowl of ice cream and a lot of nerves - since this particular radar is located in the most unfortunate place (right before the intersection) with a bunch of turns where you will lose speed and the ability to accelerate normally. But the worst thing is that there is a lot of traffic that will interfere and you will constantly run into it.

Tried Koenigsegg Regera and Corvette ZR1. In the first case - very slow acceleration and clumsiness. In the second - good controllability, but a clear lack of speed. I decided to stick to the acceleration parameter from 0-100. I took a Mitsubishi EVO X with a swapped engine (1069) and lo and behold, it worked.
Of course, it’s better not to suffer, save up and take the same Pagani Huayra, where everything is combined, but if you want a cheaper option, then give the EV a chance:

  • All details are maximum
  • Engine - double turbocharger, nitrous 5x3; tires, suspension, differential FOR THE TRACK;
  • Extra - optional (I do not recommend setting the nitrous boost, as it may worsen handling);
  • Stans (modification section) - landing, height - all the way to the right
  • Result - 0-100 1.83 sec, max. speed 377 km/h

Now, outside the garage, open the “Tuning on the go” menu ( ) and set the “downforce” parameter all the way to the left. Let's go to the place, I advise you to start from the nearest gas station in the north, since the road goes downhill. This way you will have a better chance of getting the speed you need. We use one cylinder during acceleration, after the first turn we clamp the nitrous ( ), and without letting go, we try to choose a trajectory so that we have to fit less into turns (with traffic, of course, how it turns out). If you feel that you need to take it to the left, slowly and smoothly move the stick in the right direction in advance. My final speed was 340.5 km/h.

In many respects, everything here depends on luck, and perhaps it is quite possible to pass this on the same Corvette ZR1, but the Japanese friend feels more stable and more controllable on this section. The most important thing is to try to enter the last turn with nitrogen, this is how you can maintain the required speed, the main thing is to choose a straight trajectory before the finish. On my own behalf, I will say that this radar was clearly not tested by the developers, because it is not clear why it alone differs from all others in such complexity and the necessary presence of endless luck for the player.
