How to unlock the Cover Stars achievement in Need for Speed Payback - Definitive Guide
You'll need to buy three cars overall for this achievement, two of which are unlocked after story chapters, and one after you find all its derelict parts.
BMW M5 2017
This car is actually referred to simply as the BMW M5, and is found in the drift dealership in the lower right side of the map. It will cost you 125,450 to purchase. You're going to be using this car to go after another achievement as well. This car is unlocked in Chapter 4.
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec (1999)
This car will cost you 92,850 to purchase. This car is unlocked in Chapter 3. While this car is a GT-R, there are better ones to use for the specific GT-R achievement.
(Note: Eddie's Skyline won't count for this achievement - Nod Nolan)
Chevrolet Bel Air
This is one of the derelict cars that can only be unlocked after you've found all the pieces.
randomChievos has a great guide on where to find all the pieces on youtube.
Once you've unlocked it, it can count for two achievements.
You do need to restore the Bel Air into an actual car via the garage, but once you have all three in the garage you'll get the achievement.

Have you actually restored the Bel-Air by choosing what type of car it should be? Do you have all three in the garage at the same time? Not the warehouse, but the actual car selection garage.

Thanks...having all 3 in the garage at the same time got it to pop.

You might be better saving this til the end of the game since the cars are quite expensive and one doesn’t unlock til chapter 4 anyway. You also need 2 of them for other trophies.
Buy the drift version of the BMW so you can use it for the drift trial trophy.
Buy the premium version of the Nissan GT-R in race form for the roaming racers trophy you need it for.
The Chevrolet Bel Air is a derelict you need to collect the parts for. It doesn’t matter which flavour you make of this one.

You need to buy this exact car: NISSAN Skyline GT-R (1999), you can't buy the GT-R premium because its not the car in the trophy so it won't pop

Just in case, if anyone can’t figure out what cars we’re talking about by the name: these are the cars that are on the loading screen
The Chevrolet Bel Air is a relic, you can't buy it in a store - you have to collect it.

It turned out that I found an abandoned Nissan, assembled a Chevy, and bought an M5, and the trophy did not fall out, I had to buy these cars from the dealer, only then - ding!

If you have enough money, after collecting relics (not necessarily all of them, except Bell Air of course), with the BMW M5 and Nissan GTR V Spec (1999) already opened at a racing dealer, make a save to a flash drive, buy a Boomer and Nissan, then re-upload the save - money will remain.
The Nissan I found didn’t count against me, I had to buy it, the blue one in the database!!!

If you received a Nissan GT-R V-spec (1999) (orange) gift from Eddie at the very beginning of the game, then it does not count! You need to buy a blue Nissan GT-R V-spec (1999) for $92,850 .
