How to unlock the Driving the Incredible achievement in Need for Speed Payback - Definitive Guide
This is definitely easier on Whipsnake Loop on the west of the map. It's a longer route and my speedwall shows top scores of 600K+, whereas the scores on Drift King top out around 460K.

The point I was making is that whipsnake has a higher average score than drift king. Does yours not?

Not on my screen, no, the scores for Whipsnake Loop are only in the 400K's. Are you able to see a massive leaderboard for all the top scores worldwide?

The first thing you're going to need is the BMW M5, which you unlock in Chapter 4. This car will set you back 125,540 at the Drift dealer, but you're going to be needing it anyway for another achievement. During this chapter, you'll also unlock "The Drift King" in the Northeast part of the map. This is really the best option as there are a lot of turns to give you additional score. You can do this with the stock M5, but throwing additional upgrade cards at it won't hurt.
If you've gotten to this part of the game, you've already gotten drifting down well enough. If you haven't, the most important thing is to not hit any walls either during or after your drift. Hitting a wall completely resets your multiplier down to 1, so avoid them even if you have to cut a drift short. This doesn't apply to hitting cars.
The other important thing is to manage your boost. Save as much as you can for straight paths going between curves. When you boost, you 'lock' your multiplier so it can't decrease, which lets you save a x3 multiplier from one curve to the next.
With those two tips, you should see 350k easy. I was able to get over 500k on my first run of the trial. Avoid the walls, and you're solid.

I actually found it to be pretty easy on the very first drift event you unlock, which is drifting the block directly in the city. Got near 1 million with my main drift car there and around 400k first try with the BMW. I upgrade it a little bit to around 300 first though.

You're better off upgrading the BMW a bit.
Doing this with the stock build, I kept losing my multiplier because I wasn't fast enough to jump into the next drift. I was attempting this for an hour getting close to 300,000 every time.
I upgraded the BMW to 260+ and I managed to get 400,000 easily.

Dont forget to go to live tuning and change the drift angle to more.

Thank you. I forgot I could even change the tuning in this game.

The BMW M5 can be bought after chapter 4 and by completing this chapter you also unlock the drift trial "The Drift King" that is your best choice for the 350,000 drift points.
I achieved this on one of the comments above, I found another place by doing autolog objectives.
Bottom right of the map you will find the event “RYFT DRIFT.”
I got over 700K on this & I even messed up a few corners.
Hope you find this useful.

First step:
Buy the BMW M5 2017 at the Drift Dealership for $125,540. Doing so also gives you 33% of the requirements for another achievement:
Second step (optional but recommended):
Upgrade the car using speed cards at a tune-up shop. This was my setup, but this is also my main drift car, which is why I have it tuned up this much.
Third step:
Like another solution mentioned, use the event "The Drift King" (unlocked in Chapter 4) at the northeast corner of the map. The key to drifting is to not hit walls. Your multiplier will do all the work for you, and as long as you manage to not hit that many walls, you should easily surpass 350,000 points. My first try at this, I was able to hit 889,000 and hit 350,000 with over 2 miles left on the track.

Obtain a score of 350K points during a drift trail event with the 2017 BMW M5 without hitting a wall. This doesn't reset your multiplier by hitting cars. I found this easy on the drift king.
I am by no means a drift-king at all, but found that the drift trial 'Drifting The Block' was the easiest and fastest to do. Even if you fail, it only takes like 1m:40s to finish this trial and you are right back where you started so no travel time required at all. Great spot for grinding SpeedCards / $$s / REP if you need any. Below my run with BMW M5 2017 (not stock version but upgraded). I hit just over the required achievement score, but that's enough :-)

Event name: The Drift King (Location is shown on the video)
Got the trophy on my first try on easy difficulty. The car had 16 lvl stock cards from the tune-up store.

We buy, pump up the behu to level 399 and it’s very easy to pass for almost 400,000 points, even if you occasionally crash with the main 2x combo... The race is in the upper right corner of the map.

You don’t need to upgrade anything, I gained it in the story race against Nissan Silvia (the last race of 4).

It’s enough to buy a leveling kit for it for 180k, take a random task (except for the city) and get up to 500k easily
