How to unlock the Best Blueprint achievement in Need For Speed ProStreet - Definitive Guide

Ok i will make this simple unlike some of other solutions.I won this March 22 2012.1st pick a career car (i picked golf gti) by going to career the garage etc.Start a new blueprint and just back out and it will ask you if you want to update it.choose yes.Now this is where everyone else made it confusing.Go to Leipzig when i did this there was maybe 10 people on leaderboard so it will be easy to place.Start 1st grip race finish.i finished 1st then same with 2nd grip race i finished 1st again.then pick sector race finish it.Achievement should pop after this race. There is no trick to it.You don't have to switch cars.Hopefully this will help you out.

Thanks man, for me it didn't work like that but I tried to follow your directions.

When I did it it didn't let me choose my carreer cars (blueprints) for grip races but it did let choose the drift cars, so I chose it and did the first drift race. I finished in 1st and the achievement popped out.

Just one point... it didn't work for me on the first try. But I backed out, and waited until the weekly leaderboard FINALLY updated (with my gamertag on it, I was in 34th place). After it updated, I went back in and raced the sector race again, and it popped at the end of the race. So, you need to wait for the "everyone" weekly leaderboards to update first before the last race.

Better WAY. As of 20th August 2010 ALL Leaderboards are blank after being down for a while. Basically make a blueprint (by even just tuning a car). Race ANY raceday as solo and just do 1 race, that will get you in top 100 (I came last in the default car, it was recked car and I still got Number 1).
Exit to menu after the race and then re-race the same race day with your blueprint (does not even need to be the same race). It popped for me straight away.

UPDATE-Check the weekly leaderboard for each race-day. As some have fewer then others (1 yesterday had 3 people on it, so getting in the top 100 would be easy).

If you struggle with above a few people have used the method below: ALL CREDIT FOR THIS IS TO "Hey Who Sharted", i thanky you:

"I just used my 240SX, raced in Battle Machine-Willow Springs, it has 8 different events - 3 grip, 1 sector shootout, 1 time attack, 1 1/4 drag, and 2 drift events. I completed the first 3 grip events and the sector shootout and after I completed the sector shootout the achievement popped for me"

Soz for late reply. I assume you checked the leaderboard after you won before racing again. These serves are quite slow at updating. It also needs to be your own custom blueprint. Try it again and thats about all I can suggest, sorry. I remember when I did the blueprint thing it took 10minutes for the server to log them all and unlock the achievement.

Don't really care anymore. Servers are closing and this worked for me and a large number of people. The point was to make people aware of the fact the severs where blank. NOT to tell them how to read the manual or other solutions already posted. Think of it as additional information, as long as it has helped some people and I know for a fact I got over 20people the achievement this was during virus-share week, thats all that matters.

Oh and the method does work because I did it. I chose any race. Raced a random race in solo MP (think it was the supra), with default car. I then pimpted it and re-ran a different race in the same race-day and it worked. OH and obviously if your trying to beat yourself you do a poor first run (thats kinda obvious). Even the best car in the game can set a poor score if you run the race at 20mph

i did the first grip race 4 times and it didn't pop (first time without blueprint then with it) so i decided to try and work my way through to sector control as mentioned by hey who sharted - it popped after the 3rd grip event.

Go to raceday and play portland *far right and to the bottom play it in solo. Use a zonda or some other fast car. Finish raceday now check leaderboards for weekly and fliter to everyone. Now just keep racing till you get in top 100 not hard first try i ended up in place 104 then rank 34. Once you get your rank go back to same race day in solo mode and race 1 race with the same car. achievement will pop.

Anyone stressing over this achievement here's some tips!

1) You have to do the race day twice, once to get into the top 100 and then once again to unlock the achievement.
2) first time you do the race day you have to break into the top 100 weekly leaderboard. the leaderboard only updates every hour or so. so you have to take a break inbetween the two racedays. I just did the Portland raceday and I had to do all the events (2x 1/2 drag, 2x 1/4 drag & 2x wheelie) I made it into 54th place. The leaderboards are a bit ghey and only show you the top 10 so you kinda have to guess how many points you need to get
3) make sure to selet your blue print when you go for the achievement (right trigger on the car select screen). you don't even need to do any good on this run, just finish one race and it pops up at the results screen.

hope that helps and thanks to NiteJokester for the tips!

The solutions above are a great way to get this one. But if you're still having troubles cracking the top 100, the weekly leaderboards reset Sunday night at midnight, Pacific Time.

Okay, I did just what the guide said last night. I'm 6th on the weekly leader board. I've since played a career race and two race day drags with the same car. No achievement. Help?

***This achievement is unobtainable as of April 13, 2012 due to server closures.***

Little more simpler than the other solutions..

This is much easier than you might think. Get a pretty descent drag car that does sub 10 quarter miles.
Go to Race Day, and go to the Drag Only races in the far right Tier. Select Solo and use your career car.
There will be 6 races total (2 ½ mile, 2 ¼ miles, and 2 wheelies). Race in all races and finish 1st in each.
At the end you should want around 55,000+ total which shouldn’t be too hard. Leave the race day,

Then race one race anywhere and it’ll unlock. This is because you are placing in the Top 100 yourself on the weekly/daily
leader board.

*Note: You must race with your blueprint in 20 separate races before this will work.
*Note: if your not showing up on leader boards give it about 10-20mins to update then you will be.
