How to unlock the Clutch achievement in Need For Speed ProStreet - Definitive Guide

Turn on clutch in the drag options menu first.

When in drag, you'll have to hold LB in order to shift gears. The result is a much better time though, so winning 5 times shouldn't be a problem.

Go to options. Under gameplay change to clutch for drag races.
Speed challenges will work as well. Choosing speed challenges will get you both this and the Manuel transmission achievement.
Now go to race day find a dragrace or speed challenge.
Choose to play splitscreen. Have the other controller doing nothing. Do this 4 more times and that is all.

Although this solution worked, it took longer than expected. It might be a good idea to note that the Top Speed Runs also count towards this, and if you exit out of the Race Day, your progress is reset.

Thank you Shadow, I was trying this from his other solution and couldn't figure out what he was saying even though I tried every combination of what I thought he was saying.....needless to say I wasted about an hour and a half. I'll try later using what you said.

This method took me about 10 mins...

First buy the Pagani Zonda, or another very fast car, maybe the Lambo which is a bit cheaper, in case you're low on cash.
Then buy a Tier 1 car, like a Mitshubishi Eclipse, Toyota Corolla whatever.

Then go in career, pick the first race events, pick the one with the skull.
Willowsprings, there's a 1/4 mile Drag race.

Select the Tier 1 car as preferred, but use the Zonda.
That way, the cars you'll be racing, is all low HP opponents..

Do a burnout if you want, but it doesn't really matter, the Zonda will blow a 8 sec. time anyways, while the others are on 10-12 sec.
You can even put the car in gear and wait for green light, before hitting the gas.

If you want to save time, do a very quick run on the 1st, then just make false starts for the other two runs...
