How to unlock the Speed King achievement in Need For Speed ProStreet - Definitive Guide
First, unlock Nitrocide by breaking 10 track records on speed events. Now you have to complete the 3 Nitrocide racing days. The first two are the standard easy speed events, but the third one, on Nevada highways, can prove tricky because of the fast AI and hard roads. Bringing some total repair markers is a must and if you see you're going to total, pause and restart the race. Make yourself familiar with the roads, because the final showdown with the speed king takes place on the Nevada highway. Luckily, he's very slow and should prove no challenge, again it are the roads you have to worry about. Beat him 3 times to become the new speed king and get this achievement.
You need to unlock the Nitrocide race days and then complete the Autobahnring, Ebisu, Nevada Highway and Nevada Highway II events. The third event at Nevada Highway can be quite tricky with fast and aggressive AI. I found that if you go into the options and switch the assists down from King or Racer depending on what you are playing on to casual. The AI is not as quick and the events were far easier, managed to make about 3 second lead straight away. The points you acquire for winning didn't seem to drop much either, you get the most bonus for finishing significantly under the required time. Managed to dominate event almost straight away once on lower level. I focused on race 2 and 5 to gain the most points then 3 and 4, while events 1 and 6 didn't seem to give much in the way of bonus.

I would add get an XBox 360 steering wheel for this. Nevada Highway is really annoying track with a standard controller.

I found this IMPOSSIBLE with casual, but you still get +1 for telling what tracks you'll get your points on. What a bitch this was.

Once you unlock the road to the Speed king, you'll have 3 prerequisite race days. The first two days are no problem, I completed them with Racer assists and a tier 3 car. The third day is a huge problem however. It took me countless attempts to replay the races over and over again until I could dominate the day. Here are some of the tips for the third race day: Switch to casual assists because it'll make the opponents less challenging; SWITCH YOUR CAR TO TIER 2 POWER UPGRADES. This will make your life MUCH less stressful. I nearly broke a controller because I would either total my car or get passed by a racer and not be able to beat them. You shouldn't need to worry about winning the events, the time you get under par should be good enough; however, winning the events will probably allow you to skip the longer races. Complete the 2nd and 5th race first, followed by the 3rd and 4th. Save the 1st and last race for the end, because those will be the ones you'll want to skip if possible.
The boss is a piece of cake. It again takes place on the Nevada highways, so keep your tier 2 car and you'll have no problem at all.

I really don't know how to get this without winning. There are 6 races and you need about 42.000points for domination. So you need about 7000 points per race. I tried race 2 with tier 3 parts. I was second so I only got 2500 points + 500 for damage + 2600 for my time. That's 5600 points. I am missing these 2000 points for winning.
This took me several tries so I might try this with lvl2 parts. But winning seems to be a must. I don't even think about skipping any races...
