How to unlock the Racer Rank 60 achievement in Need for Speed Rivals - Definitive Guide

For racer, there are 20 tiers of missions, each has 3 assignments you can pick. Racer choices are Race, Pursuit, and Drive.

Racers have 4 different types of Missions: Interceptor, Race, Hot Pursuit, and Time Attack.

Interceptor the easiest mode. You want to use Shockwave and Electrostatic Field(ESF) and just wreck the cop, don't run from him.
Races have you just racing other racers, but cops will join in based on heat level. These can get a bit frustrating once you get to the medium and hard difficulty as you are relying a lot of cop interference then you are actual driving performance. Easy you race 3 opponents, medium 4, hard 5.
Hot Pursuit are very similar to racers, except the cops are chasing you from the start of the event.
Time Attack are straight forward events that have you going from point A to B. The times can be very strict so typically if you crash more then 2 or 3 times, you won't get a gold time.

When picking assignments, from easy to hard, you want to pick Interceptor, Time Attack, Hot Pursuit, Races. Also, for the assignments that require you to earn a certain amount of money in a session, find an interceptor near a repair station and do it several times. This also works for assignments that require you to reach a HEAT level.

As you go through the story you can only pick one assignment at each tier of the story, putting you at level 21 when you beat the game. At this point, the game will let you go back and do the other 2 assignments for each tier.

You will receive rank 20 achievement for unlocking the final assignment.
You will receive rank 40 achievement for finishing 40/61 assignments.
You will receive rank 60 achievement for finishing 60/61 assignments.

Extra: For people who are having issues with the save glitch, the best method I have found to work is when you are done playing the game. Go to your home screen, open the start menu over the game and click the quit option. Once I started doing this every time I was done playing, I never had it lose progress.

6 times the same text for 6 solutions without giving more specific info. Sorry but I downvoted all of them because this isn't helping anyone.

I would like to mention that I came across a 'solution' online for the save glitch that if you turn off the 'resume games quickly' option in the Xbox One settings menus(it's called something else, I think it might be called "load quickly" or "resume quickly" or something like that, it apparently works for NFS Rivals, and it also worked for me with Battlefield 4!

Btw, with solutions like this, I always like to see a personal touch, i.e., what car you liked the most for which races, etc... instead of just explaining what's going on.

With regards to the save game loss glitch this seems to be common across all EA games on the One. They don't like leaving the game in ready-to-go mode. In order to resolve this when you've finished playing go and load another game which becomes your quick-start game so completely breaking the EA server connection. Next time you fire up the game it will correctly link back to the EA servers and everything will be fine.

Welp, quitting the game from dashboard didn't work for me just now, god damn this game is fucking horrible. I've had to redo the entire racer series a time and a half now. I find that opening a whole nother game then going back to Rivals saves every time. For now anyway!

This save glitch sucks big time. I wasn't aware of it. I had level 53 cop and level 48 racer. When I went to play it later in the day I went back to level 25 racer and 13 cop. There's no way I'm playing this shit over again. I'm done with this game!

A quick note on this--it might have to do with the game's 'reserved space' on the HD. If you 'manage game' from the dashboard, and then look at what your saved files are, you might see one called 'reserved space'. When you delete that, it says, 'this will quit the game if it is currently running'.... not sure, but that might help?

Not a solution, but a word of advice:

NEVER race with turbo boost equipped! It makes the AI faster. Leave it in the garage where it belongs... (only use it for speed trials)
With it equipped I would lose 75% of races. Without it, I win nearly every event.

In total, you can earn 61 levels in the game as a cop or as a racer. First, just play and go through the story. After its completion, your cop or racer will have level 21 and will have the opportunity to complete everything that was not selected in the speedlist. This is done by going into the garage = career = selecting the unpassed speed sheet and activating it.

One, the most tedious or the most difficult, speedlist you can not complete: there are 1 more of them than needed for the trophy

A few points that may not seem obvious to some:

To fulfill conditions like "Gold any..." it is not necessary to go through new events; you can replay those already closed for gold, for example those with EASY difficulty from the beginning of the game.

In events where other racers participate (races, hot pursuit), the game selects cars of your level, so it is not necessary to complete them in the fastest cars - you can choose the car that is most comfortable to play in

In time trials (time trials, rapid response), the time is fixed, therefore it is easier to complete them in the fastest car

If you don’t have enough money for upgrades, we farm by spinning around the gas station and killing cops. (At the top of the map there is a good place where the Final Grand Tour will take place, there is 0.2 km to the shelter from the gas station. Be careful at heat level 10 - they can kill you very quickly. To be good We take ESF/Shockwave to farm.
