How to unlock the Mattley Crue achievement in Need for Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed - Definitive Guide
THIS METHOD WORKS JUST FINE FOR ALL THE GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS IN BOTH DLCs.
This is actually the guide to unlocking glitched achievement(s) rather than winning the races.
Anyway this is my twopence: to win all the races you don't need to do anything special. Just select BMW 3.0 CSL Gr.5 (it's pretty stable and fast) and go on win all the races. Reduce the difficulty to Medium or Easy if you struggle to win.
Of course you can drive any car from this DLC just ensure it says "Legends 70s GT" type when in the Car Lot. All cars from DLC will cost you as much as $0. (Or if you feel like S&M at the moment you can always choose Mini.) :)
NOTE: If you can't see any cars from this DLC - you need to start anew on the fresh save (don't forget to move or backup your main save), but don't fret. All Legends races are available from start. All you need to do in order to start DLC is to finish 2 initial races (difficulty check and forced race afterwards) from main game. Then just move all the way to the right where you can find Legends races (yellow-ish poster with Matt Powers' back). Then just win all the races.
Now to the problems.
If after finshing the last race against Matt Powers "Mattley Crue" achievement unlocked, you can skip further reading. If it didn't (as for me) try repeat these steps:
- While in the game (main menu) press the Giude button on the controller and press "X" to sign out;
- Sign in back (with the same profile your gamesave is on);
- Do a Quick Race (not short career race but QuickRace from main menu);
EDIT: I removed the step about redownloading the corresponding DLC from the in-game store as it was reported unnecessary.
After race is finished (1 lap on any track in any car) achievement should be unlocked. It did for me and for all my friends with the same cheevo issue. And yes, I was trying hard for all those advices about clearing cache, starting on new profile then switching to main profile etc. Nothing worked for me, until I tried this method.
I don't take any credit for sign-in/sign-out method because it isn't mine. Everything else are my findings, so I will take credits for those. :) Hope it helps. Any constructive criticism and thumbs up of course are always appreciated. Cheers!

Thanks, glad to help. BTW, it worked for 80+ people, yet only 3 said thanks by voting up. C'est la vie! :)

Very easy. Go to the new tab called Legends, in career mode.
There are 8 tabs, the last one being Legends Championship.
You need to get at least 12 podiums to unlock the championship or, if bought the timesavers pack from the store, the event will already be unlocked.
Choose the SHELBY COBRA 427, B1317 (that's fully upgraded, except the works conversion), and the 6 races should be a breeze.
Remember to turn the autobreak off as it makes the races much harder than they actually are.
The six races are:
- Rouen Short [1952]
- Enna Pergusa
- Hockenheimring [1982]
- Circuit Zolder
- Monza GP [1958]
- Rouen GP [1966]
Hope it helps, cheers.

I've just beaten Matt Powers, got his car and won the championship but, the achievement hasn't unlocked. Anyone else had trouble with this? Surely I'm not missing anything...

Personally, I didn't have any trouble with this achievement, but I had problems with many others once I bought the latest dlc. You must delete both dlc's, clear the cache on your hdd, restart the console and then restart the game. Redownload the dlc's once you finished whatever original achievements you are going for.
