How to unlock the Notorious achievement in Need for Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed - Definitive Guide
2 people private session, any track (preferably one of those short Ovals), 1 lap race.
The servers reset time is 1 hour so after starting a match you can just sit on a starting line for about 55 min.
No rubber band is needed, your wireless pad may go off, it doesn't matter.
Just be sure to finish one lap and end the match before the clock hits 60 min.
Go back to lobby and start next race.
Only one person need to finish a race and the time for another person will count too.
After joinig a session your friend can actually do nothing.
When you finish the race the game will automatically boot him back to the lobby and you can start next race by yourself.
Another thing i found is that after you start a race and the other person leave, the game will not end the match.
You can sit there for almost one hour by yourself than finish the race and the time will count.
It may be useful when only one person need the achievement.

To make it even easier you could make a 10 lap race and cross the line before the 60 minute limit of each lap. Theoretically earning the achievement in a single race. I haven't tested to see if you get credit for your time if you quiet early (I'm not sure I could race "race" for 10 hours).

No, the servers reset time is set to 1 hour, after 60 min you're going back to the title screen without getting any time credit. You must finish the race or the time will not count.

The way I did this was to select
Time attack
Set to length long
Track Spa Franco Champs
Then simply rubber band the controller accelerator and walk away. The car will accelerate and in my experience always parks itself on the side out of the racing line.
This allows other to race happily and you to rack the time up. Since the race autocompletes at the end. you dont even need to complete a single lap.

I gave you a thumbs up but be prepared for angry xbox live messages from people who don't realize you are afk / boosting the online time and not actually racing!

The achievement is pretty self explanatory.
10 hours online is not a huge amount of time to play.
Can be done ranked or unranked, public or private, whatever you want.
Be sure to finish races to add the time to your total.
You can make a list, or if you have a good memory then just remember, of the tracks you haven't yet mastered, host your own games online, and set these as the tracks.
This way you can work on corners and racing line for badge achievements, and also day and night tracks for those achievements too.

You can just ride, or you can invite a friend, he will join your race. For example, set 5 laps, as soon as the race starts you can stand with a friend for up to 59 minutes, but before this time expires, complete one lap so that the time is reset to zero, or you can have a friend leave and you will be alone on the track, but also up to 58 stand for a minute, in the last minute you complete a lap (or a little earlier) and it turns out that it takes you up to 59 minutes to complete one lap. 5 laps for an hour, not bad)) you can go about your business, the main thing is not to forget that if you don’t complete the lap before 59 minutes, you won’t get credit for anything.

Keep in mind that the trophy only drops at the end of the race, when progress begins to be saved in Autolog. Therefore, do not try to boost 10 hours at a time: if the connection is lost or you are kicked out of Autolog, you risk losing all your progress.
The statistics only take into account time on the track; waiting in the lobby is not taken into account.

You can get the trophy without any effort.
Do this. Create a rating race online. Circuit - Monza (junior). 3 laps. And you can go to sleep, or to work, or mind your own business. Participants from 2 to 10. You can get from 2 to 4 hours of online time per night. A few nights and we get the coveted 10 hours.
Progress can be tracked in Autolog.

After all the online trophies, I only had 7 minutes online (since I was playing with two consoles). That's why I did it this way.
We create a closed race against time. Enna P. track and invite a friend. Race 20 minutes. It ends on its own and begins on its own. So you don't have to touch anything at all. Just check whether it was thrown out of the autolog or not. And create again, but I got 4 hours before throwing it away.
