How to unlock the Works Champion achievement in Need for Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed - Definitive Guide

This is unlocked through career play from level 14

By now if you have played a majority of events you should have in excess of 700k.
Buy the Gumpert Apollo and upgrade to works. This car already has 100% towards works progress. Works for this car costs 105k and makes its PI A2350+ making it the fastest possible works car. After that in the Events 5 podium finishes are needed suggesting the 3 exhibititons and then 2 tours (Podium finish overall in tour counts as 1 total podium). Then the works league is unlocked and mad mike whiddett generally finished last all the time due to his crappy mazda. 4 races to complete for an easy 50G

AS you can see from some of the comments some cars make it easier for them to be done but if you are wanting to quickly get done with there are faster cars

For me personally a works tuned Nissan Skyline (R32) was the better choice. The Mazda maybe not so crappy compared to the Nissan, but when I chose the Apollo this made the majority of AI cars switch to cars like Königsegg, Pagani,... which made things rather difficult for me.

The nissan skyline is much easier than the gumbert, you should still be able to beat mike whiddett without any problems and you wont have to worry about the AI drivers

I used the Falken Bonus Porsche RSR, so the races were relaxing - before i tried LP640 & Apollo, there the races where much harder

Works Nissan Skyline R32
Easy Difficulty

It's a breeze

Problem is that for some races, you cant beat the lap times in event objectives. Other than that, all good

I found that if you play the first event and see what the lead three or four cars are, they're usually a good bet to use. Personally I switched between a Lexus LFA and the R35 Skyline depending on whether the track was better for high speed or good handling.

You will probably go crazy on the R probe, opponents choose very fast cars and overtaking them is a big problem, it is much easier to pass on a Porsche 911GT3RSR since the opponents will have slow cars.

In the GT3 Factory Championship, win all races and beat Mad Mike Whiddett and the achievement will unlock.
