To trigger a combo, on your hud at the bottom on the left hand side, you should see "Battle Tech", with some coloured boxes below. These correspond to the card types needed for the combo.
Simply use the cards in that order, and on each use, you that coloured box will sparkle. Once you have completed the sequence, you will trigger a combo. If you don't have the card, you can end your turn and the combo can be continued on your next turn
