How to unlock the Paragon Hero achievement in Neverwinter - Definitive Guide

Reaching level 30 is not that daunting of a task, and requires a person basically just do one thing: the story missions.

Seems simple, and it really is - there is no real trick to it to get to level 30, or even level 60. All you need to do is complete the quests.

I hit level 30 during the Nerverdeath Graveyard questline. I did no exp grinding anywhere for this achievement, and in reality it is not necessary at all with this game. There are, however, a few things you can do to make this much, much easier:

1.) Do not think for a second that you need to be a certain level in order to complete a quest. While you are acquiring quests, you will often see a level next to them, and many times they will be a level or two higher than where you are - this is a good thing. You want to be underleveled in these areas. Higher level enemies are still insanely simply to dispatch. If you are a cleric class then you may need to rely more on a striker class companion, but for everyone else, all you need is relevent gear and some potions to get the job done.

You will also level up faster fighting harder enemies than you would fighting enemies your level, or a level behind you. I was literally watching my exp bar tick upward after killing trash mobs a level higher - it is insane. However when I backtracked to get an achievement I missed, enemies a level behind me basically gave me nothing for exp.

2.) Soc Azure stones as early as you can. Once you start getting gear with a socket, throw whatever azure stones you have into it. Rank 1 stones drop all over the place - you will have more than you know what to do with. You will be tempted to make those rank 1 stones better by refining them - don't bother. You will get rank 2 and rank 3, even rank 4 stones later on in the game. Rank 1 azure stones will give you 3% exp boost for each one equiped. The more, the better.

3.) Grab as many quests as you can. Time management is a good thing laugh. I am usually running 2 or 3 quests at a time, and then turning them all in at once. Most of the time you will have multiple quests to complete in a single area, and more than one person handing out various quests. Take a quick look around when you have one quest giver, because chances are there will be someone else handing something out.

And I am not talking about dungeons here - this is pure story mission quests I am talking about. Dungeons (red missions that require groups) will not net you the levels that the story missions will. You can do them if you want, but do not expect much of a reward on the exp side.

4.) Do your inovactions whenever you can. These will usually give you a chunk of exp, as well as other stuff.

Honestly, that is about it. Like I stated at the beginning of this, there really isn't any trick to leveling in thes game - just play the story missions and whatever other quests you can find. You will get a chunk of exp after each quest is turned in, and you will see it won't take many to net you a level.

And if you're in a big hurry to get there just buy an exp boost. Bought the cheapest one at level 5 and am now at level 24 with about a levels worth of double exp left.

Good guide, just noticed a couple spelling errors, taunting in the opening should be daunting and they're invocations not innovactions. smile

I'm currently at level 31 and the achievements has not unlocked for me. It still shows it sitting at 96%

Has anybody else had this issue?

For readers who are confused: This is now an achievement to get level 10, the game has obviously changed significantly since 2015, so this solution is outdated but still useful. Just do the story missions, avoid fighting unnecessary enemies as they don't give XP, use lots of potions, and invite players who are your level to your group & complete quests w/ them to make this a bit faster.

Again, complete quests, dungeons, skirmishes, and kill beasties to reach level 30. You should be nearing level 30 by the time you get the “Grimstorm Keep” story achievement.
