How to unlock the Temple of the Primordial achievement in Neverwinter - Definitive Guide

This achievement unlocks after finishing the quest Temple of the Primordial. The quest line that leads up to this starts with General Knox in Protector's Enclave, as all story quests do, and takes you to Mount Hotenow. The enemies here are 56+.

I believe these are the quests you need to do, it's hard to tell since the game gives no indication of what are story quests and which are side quests, that I can see.

I just got this by talking to the Acolyte of Histories in Ebon Downs. A glitch, or was this content removed and the achievement changed?

I think they were talking about vaulting some areas (Like Bungie did with Destiny 2) so maybe there's a new way of unlocking it. I haven't been on the game recently so not sure what they might have changed.

Can confirm you get the quest from the Acolyte in Ebon Down, I already completed the temple, just picked up the quest from him and boom achievement

2022 June: This quest is no longer playable and instead you have to simply talk with the acolyte of histories in Ebon Down to unlock the achievement.

He is in the area called Silverwisp Swamp behind a big tree. The map coordinates are (1807, 1126).

Story related and can’t be missed! This quest will eventually be given by Surveyor Baera in Mount Hotenow. 
Here is the quest progression:

  • Spiderwebs Swept 
  • A Fire in the Mountain
  • Missing in the Ash 
  • Venting the Underneath 
  • Shadowfire Cavern
  • Seeds of Rebirth and Flames of War 
  • History of Hotenow 
  • Fireguard Fortress 
  • The Fire Fighters 
  • Watching it Burn and The Fire Lords 
  • Secrets of Fire 
  • Temple of the Primordial

The quest is taken in the "Mount Hotenou" location from Land Surveyor Baer (~ 789, 1215), just complete the chain of quests in the location and they will lead you to him.

After updating and preserving locations in August 21, to get this achievement you need to find a story acolyte in each location associated with leveling up. You take the task from him, talk to him and voila, the trophy is yours.

Specifically for this trophy, the novice of history is located in the black burial grounds (1803, 1125)
