How to unlock the Catapult Master achievement in Neverwinter - Definitive Guide
With the release of Mod 18, a new area has been added.
To reach it, speak with Sgt. Knox in the Enclave to start the related storyline. It will bring you to Vallenhas, nothing more than your guild stronghold with different NPCs. Following the questline, this area will become also known as Avernus and the landscape will change.
Now, the achievement. To fire a catapult you need to find the Heroic Encounter "Devil Siege".
Check in the zone chat. There are two main encounters the people are spamming. One is the "Ape". You don't want this.
The other one is "SE" that stands for "Siege Engine". Try to join these instances.
The encounter is located in far East of the map, in the middle of a square inside the only large village you could find there. There is also a campfire very close to the Heroic Encounter, slightly north, on the first hill you find.
There, you'll see 4 catapults, each of them surrounded by enemies. Use other adventurers to lure them out or kill them by yourself to get access to the catapult (if you kill them, take into account that they will respawn soon).
First, you need to rotate the catapult to point at the floating evil structure you'll see in front of you, the so called "Siege Engine". To do so, when enemies are not around the catapult, you'll see the light globes on both sides of the catapult turning blue (previuosly were red). Simply walk or run against the catapult to rotate it, step by step. When the proper orientation is achieved, you'll be able to press A and fire.
Be careful though, since any adventurer can fire once the catapult is positioned. So, be fast at pressing A
Everytime a catapult is fired, the life of the Siege Engine will decrease. When running out, the catapults are destroyed and the boss spawns in the middle of zone. Kill this demon to complete the fight.
Fire 50 times and you'll get the achievement. Few runs should be enough to unlock it.
Tips: sometimes catapults do not explode. Take advantage of it to keep firing.
To track your progress go to Journal > Achievements > Quests : Catapult Master.

I don't know, but it could be related to Xbox Live issues happening in these days. I had another achievement popping in game only, but when i checked the xbox live list, it was among the completed ones.
