New Tales from the Borderlands

Despite there being 20 possible Vaultlanders, you only need to get the 16 main Vaultlanders in the game to Unlock the Achievement, the following Vaultlanders DO NOT count towards this:

• FL4K (Pre-Order Bonus)
• Salvador (Connect a SHiFT account)
• HOT Loader (Claim SHiFT Code)
• Axton (Like/Share: Borderlands or Gearbox on Twitter)

NOTE: I have had to unlock this twice as the first time it didn’t work, so unless they patch this the best bet is to delete your save and start again, so if you need to do that you may want to get the other achievements first
With how finicky the last 4 Vaultlanders seem to be, and the fact that every other guide I read did not line up with how I unlocked these both times, I would recommend going for the New Business Achievement when going for this.

00:00 Introduction

Episode 1:
(All 3 Located in Chapter 3)

• 01:08 #1 - Phuong (Story Related) - Received as Esacpe the ATLAS ship during the Tediore invasion
• 01:49 #2 - Claptrap - Don’t fix the radio go behind you to the Junk Pile
• 02:38 #3 - Amara - In Fran’s Frogurt Shop. First show and then SMASH the rubble

Episode 2, Chapter 3:

• 03:34 #4 - Zane (Story Related) - Win the Vaultlander battle with the Tediore soldier.

Episode 3:

• 04:26 #5 -Vazquez (Chapter 2) - When finding spare parts for the Healing DEVICE as Anu, inspect the fridge in the backroom and Win the Vaultlander battle with the Tediore soldier
• 05:18 #6 -Roland (Chapter 6) - When in the morgue. Check the Cold Locker in the back of the room. Then Win the Vaultlander battle with the Tediore soldier

Episode 4
(All 4 Located in Chapter 4)

• 06:17 #7 - Maya - In Anu’s Science room the Vaultlander is standing on the desk. At the very end of the room.
• 07:02 #8&9 - Brick & Mordecai - Brick - In Fran’s Franchise Room open the car truck on the left side of the shop. Then Win the Vaultlander battle. - Mordecai - In Fran’s Franchise Room inspect the cash register on the counter.
• 08:08 #10 - Moze (Story Related) - Win the Vaultlander battle with the Tediore soldier

Episode 5
(Both Vaultlanders are in Chapter 4)

• 08:23 #11 - Handsome Jack - On red X in the back of Susan office. Win the Vaultlander battle
• 08:59 #12 - Krieg (Missable – Dialog Option) - When you find Stapleface with Anu you need to TAKLE her

Ending Related
09:40 #Lilith, Fiona, Ellie, & Zer0 (In First Video), Second Video focuses solely on the Ending Related Vaultlanders:

None of the online guides I've read regarding this seem to match, or TBH be accurate at all, so below is how I have unlocked them twice (when aiming for a Good Skateboard ending):

• At the last option (Reunite with the Shard / Reject the Shard) back out to the main menu and BACKUP YOUR SAVE (multiple times if you like).
• Now you can play through both Scenarios to obtain all Vaultlanders.

NOTE: there is a glitch to save time, after completing one ending i.e. Reunite with the Shard, and getting a Vaultlander such as Ellie and Lilith once back at the main menu, quit out of the game, and load it back up if you are lucky it will say continue (NOT NEW GAME as it should), by clicking continue it will likely load the last save in the conclusion video of that playthrough, and by sitting it through you will most likely get yet another Vaultlander at the end.

The following is what I have noticed from unlocking these twice:

• Lilith seems to unlock regardless of the choice (i.e. First time unlocking these I picked Reunite with the Shard, and after doing it again I Rejected the Shard, both times I got Lilith, and Ellie at the end)
• Ellie unlocked for me with Lilith both times when I went for the New Business Achievement (Good Skateboard Score).
• Fiona unlocked on my second attempt with Zero the first time, and the second time I used the glitch method and even though I already had Ellie it gave me Ellie and Fiona. (Its possible she simply requires multiple playthroughs to unlock).
• Zero unlocked both times after having both outcomes on your save (Reunite with the Shard / Reject the Shard), i.e. the first time, and second time I completed different options as my first playthrough, and in the second attempt I played through the same ending twice (Glitch Method) and he still did not unlock, Zero did not unlock both times until I had Reunite with the Shard & Reject the Shard, However, both times I was aiming for the New Business ending, so you may also need a good skateboard score with both outcomes.
