Nex Machina

The Arena is accessed by going to the “Online Arena” tab in the main menu. The Arena is a place where you can compete with your friends or players online by beating their high scores. There’s a selection of 16 levels you can choose to play from.

Earning a certain score on these levels will either award you with a bronze, silver or gold medal. You’ll need to earn 9 gold medals in order to obtain this trophy. Generally the levels are sped up versions of existing levels in the arcade mode or versions with a certain objective you need to complete (like getting a human multiplier).

The easiest gold medals to go for in my personal opinion are the following levels:

• Forest Hunter – High score of 4,000,000 on Techno Forest
• Ice Mountaineer – High score of 4,000,000 on Crystal Mountain
• Fire Miner – High score of 4,000,000 on Fire Cavern
• Forest Redline – High score of 8,000,000 on Techno Forest (enemies are sped up)
• Out of time in Techno Forest – Earn the high score within 4 minutes on Techno Forest
• Out of time in Crystal Mountain – Earn the high score within 4 minutes on Crystal Mountain
• Burning Man – Earn the high score within 4 minutes on Fire Cavern
• Iceworks – High score of 5,000,000 on Crystal Mountain (faster enemy bullets & spawns)
• Chain Rescue – High score of 50,000 on Crystal Mountain (score only counts when human multiplier is active)

In order to obtain the high scores on certain levels keep an eye out for extra objectives / secret levels. Doing these will drastically increase your score before finishing the level. In addition to completing these secondary objectives, try getting your human multiplier up as high as possible. A high human multiplier translates into a great increase of points.
