Your score multiplier is displayed at the right hand side of the HUD. There are a couple of factors that increase your score multiplier. Below I’ve listed these factors in order of their weighting.

• Score Multiplier Pickup – The most obvious way of increasing your multiplier is by picking up the score multiplier power-ups. These generally drop at random but there’s also a way of force spawning them. If you have all lives remaining a score multiplier will spawn on a location where there would usually be an “extra life”. Knowing this you’ll be able to increase your multiplier at a much faster pace.
• Human Multiplier – Your human multiplier plays a big part in building up your score multiplier. If you can keep your human multiplayer high you’re score multiplier will increase much quicker. If your human multiplier is 1 you will not be able to increase your score multiplier.
• Difficulty – Increasing the game’s difficulty will increase the rate at which your score multiplier builds up. While this is true I’d still recommend going for this trophy on Rookie difficulty just to make sure you don’t die.
• Secondary Objectives – Secondary objectives such as secret humans, beacons, visitors and disruptors will add to your multiplier.
• Killing enemies – Last but not least there’s the obvious requirement of killing enemies. Killing enemies will gradually increase your score multiplier.
• Dying – Dying will reduce your score multiplier by 3X.

I’d recommend getting this trophy in “Arcade Mode” on “Rookie” difficulty. Simply play through the worlds and keep an eye out for everything you can destroy or collect. Focus on not dying and this trophy will unlock somewhere near the end of your playthrough.
