Nex Machina

This trophy unlocks after defeating the second boss in arcade mode, Yeti Kong, on any difficulty. For a more detailed guide to this world, see below.

Crystal Mountain is the second World in Nex Machina. It is set in a snowy and rocky environment with water bodies and futuristic structures. There are 15 levels to be completed within Crystal Mountain.

While venturing through Crystal Mountain you'll be introduced to the following enemies:

• Burrowers - Burrowers are tricky enemies to defeat as they are only above ground every so often. Once they appear they'll shoot a couple of bullets towards you in a wide angle. I suggest prioritizing these enemies as they can surprise you by burrowing up behind you.
• Crawler Prime - A larger version of the crawler, takes more bullets to kill and is slightly faster.
• Cannons - Cannons are basically turrets but pointed up towards the sky. They will shoot up a single missile which will land a couple of seconds after shooting. The game will notify you where the missiles will land through a large targeting circle on the floor.
• Splitters – Splitters are annoying enemies that look like a pile of poker chips. When destroying the piled up version they will split into small “poker chips” that will rapidly and randomly move all over the level. Killing the stacked tower of splitters with your secondary weapon rather than your primary weapon will prevent them from spreading and thus making them much easier to handle.
• Splitter primes – These enemies are the “flat” version of the splitter enemy described above. Again, you’ll want to kill these with your secondary weapon rather than your primary. This will prevent the enemy from splitting up in to smaller pieces.

Finally, in world 2-15 you'll be facing Yeti Kong. Yeti Kong is a gorilla like boss that will only move left and right on the top of your screen. You’ll want to keep shooting upwards to defeat this boss. His abilities consist of throwing down rocks and skulls at you as well as throwing barrels down the sides of the screen. These barrels will either contain a laser cannon or a bullet cannon that will either shoot lasers or bullets towards you as you’re fighting Yeti Kong. You’ll simply want to keep shooting at this boss while avoiding all the stuff he throws at you to defeat him.
