Pretty much all of the tamers you should find by simply playing through the game, however one is easily missed. In the Frozen Tundra there is an igloo with a trainer inside that i missed on my playthrough so i thought I'd put it here in case anyone had the same issue :)
P.S. you can get this achievement before the end of the main game and do not have to have completed the post game battles to pop it.

The missable tag apparently applies to Tamer #2, as the layout of this area changes at some point. They are one of the first tamers you encounter, so most people shouldn't miss this one.

By exploring as much as you can, you're likely to get most if not all Tamers. Some Tamers of note, as these seem to be ones people miss:


Note: the game does not count all fights as "tamer" battles. It just seems to refer to NPCs on the map with the fight icon above them. In this way, you can get this achievement before entering the final area of the main story . Additionally, as long as you get Tamer #2, you should also be fine to wrap up any Tamers you missed in post-game.
