It is not as hard as it seems at first.
The Most important thing to remember is, to set the difficulty in the main menu to easy. after that just pick a team (eg. Wizard, Explosive Girl, Healer and Warrior) and start the abyss. On Easy you don't really have to worry about the enemies. just keep hunger and sanity up, kill all enemies on a floor and kill the final boss. The achievements for completing the floors will not unlock for completing, but when the next level loads. So, when you finish level 5 and use the option to save and quit, you need to hit continue to unlock it.
As far as i experienced it, the random modifier you get during loading doesn't really matter on easy, but you can always just restart and get a new modifier. Even when Continuing a saved game it will always reroll.

Abyss mode will load each floor of the dungeon with a modifier. Most of the time these aren't that bad, but sometimes you can get poison or something a bit more debilitating that could kill your characters as you walk around. If this happens, force close the game and when you select "Continue" from the main menu, the modifier will be re-rolled and you should get something less harmful. Complete five levels of the dungeon on Abyss mode to complete this DLC. All of the tips from the Road Map will apply to this mode as well.
