How to unlock the Grasshopper achievement in Next Space Rebels - Definitive Guide

for this achievement, you'll need to get an epic tag called Grasshopper

Grasshopper tag state as follows:
"For reaching an altitude of 25 meters without an engine or explosive"

for this challenge i chained several Ladder together, inbetween each of them I put a swivel set to 999 speed (click Y on the piece)
it took several tries but I got it eventually!
Start with LB rather than RB so the ladders doesn't clip into the ground

I'm adding some stuff to make it more clear:
Your rocket will take the entirety of your workplace, when you launch it, you have the possibility to choose another location by pressing (RB) otherwise it will get stuck in the stage so choose a large field

I designed my rocket like this
== = Ladder []] = swivel

==[[]==[[]==[[]==[[]==[[]==[]]==[]]==[]]==[]]==[]]==

You then have to juggle between LB and RB key to move your swivels so your "rocket" start jumping

Do you happen to have a video of the juggling? My "rocket" with this same build just immediately breaks apart when a part of it touches the ground.

Unfortunately not, but I could try to replicate the thing, will be uploaded tomorrow if I have the time to do it ;)

I built a really tall rocket with a decoupler at the top. It wasn't quite tall enough. This guide inspired me to add a swivel pointing rightward near the top of the rocket. I attached parts to the right as far as I could go and added a decoupler at the end. When I launch my rocket I swiveled toward space and then used both decouplers and hit 29m.

I used 8 swivels and 9 ladders and balanced it on top of some retro fins. worked like a charm.

I had a lot of complexity points at the end of the campaign, so I tried out this design which was kind of like a tower trebuchet to throw a tiny rocket up to 25m:

Build a tower with something heavy and stable at the bottom, with a nice wide base. Then use ladders (or any long vertical piece, ideally metal for strength) to build up to just over half way up the design area, in a repeating 'H' shape for strength and stability (lots of 'H' shapes stacked on top of each other for a tower).

Then use the 'ladder and swivel' design from this guide - a swivel (edit this first swivel to be 999 speed, then COPY that one for the rest, which saves a lot of time!), then a ladder, then a copied swivel , then a ladder etc. - to fill the rest of the upper part of the design space. On the very top, put a decoupler (edit it so that it is X to activate), with a mini rocket of some sort on top - use something sturdy, and I think, including a structure part like a nose cone seems to work?

Even when fully zoomed out, you can put an extra screens worth of components on the top, if you build them off to the side of the tower, then grab them as a group, and drag them up from the bottom of the group, and stack them on the highest part of your structure, so even though it is 'off the screen' it is still part of the structure.

Then when you try the launch, use LB to lean the top part of the tower to the left, then press RB and X simultaneously (assuming X is the button for the decoupler), and it should 'flick' the mini rocket on the top upwards as the tower leans back to the right. It looks more like it is curling up and uncurling, because the swivel speed is so fast, but after a few goes, I got 32m (you can see your maximum altitude achieved in the bottom right of the screen, even after the rocket has fallen back down again and the altitude readout is zero.)

It took me about 5 tries, but when I saw it had achieved 32m, I uploaded the video, and then it popped :)

I used the following video by Dreamaise to get this to work. Took a little playing around but it worked out for me.
