How to unlock the Playground achievement in NFL Tour - Definitive Guide
Make sure you have the settings correct, then start a game. Play against the Bills and use the Colts. On Offense, find a few deep passes that work for you. Make sure you score quick. Then, on defense, use an all out blitz play and let the other team immediately score. Rinse and repeat until you get to 56, then win. Do one point conversions and score at least four times in each half. If you miss a one point conversion, do a two pointer on the next one.

Can this be done by adding more time to the halves?

Standard rules will not let you increase the time, tonyy35.

Steelers vs bills, you go on steelers.
If you return the ball and you cant get a return for a TD ( which is super easy in this game on veteran ) click long pass>spread the D. Hines ward (b button) is usually always open or will almost always catch it for a huge gain. If you get stopped short of the end zone, hb pitch. I used only those two plays all game for TDs and PATs. You can go for 1 or 2 point conversions whichever you feel more comfortable with.
When throwing off keep pressing b then x then b then x continuously until they return the ball for a touchdown. I also usually hold left on my left analog stick and give the returner a huge lane to run down. if by chance you do tackle him, choose all out blitz and do the b then x tactic again.
on their conversions try to get them to fumble or try to intercept it. you can get points off of their conversions and the time doesnt run down at all.
you pretty much just do those things over and over again until you hit 56 points.

You can score 56 points faster if you keep getting 2pt conversions instead of 1pt. Eventually you'll only need 7 touchdowns instead of 8 to get the achievement.
Again using the Colts or Patriots vs. the Rams or Bills, your object here is to score at least four times in both halves, aiming to also get a 2-point conversion on those scores. On Throwoffs, simply turbo right up the middle, then dive to the ground to stop the clock. You can't waste time doing reversals or trying to bowl people over. Use the strategy for the "Need for Speed" achievement to score long touchdowns in as little time as possible. When your opponent has the ball, simply let them score. Keep switching guys and running away from the ball carrier to let him get the touchdown. Letting them score is the quickest way to get the ball back to score for yourself. I don't know if you have to win the game or not for sure since I did win when I got this, but if you stop their conversion after the touchdown and make all of yours, you should win anyway.
