How to unlock the A Center Pro achievement in NHL 09 - Definitive Guide

"As the the lead profile aceive an overall Be a Pro rank of A as a Center on Pro Level"
There is a little trick that can help unlock this achievement rather quickly. First go into the creation zone and create a center and put all of his stats up to a 99. Then go into the roster managment screen and add your created player onto any team you wish. Next your simply going to start a new NHL Be a Pro file and then select your created player from the roster list. Now for the fun part, your bigger, faster, stronger 99 overall player should allow you a distinct advange, making it easier to obtain good grades. With a solid performance you should be able to unlock the achievement in just one game. This trick should help you unlock the Winger, Defensemen, and Golie Pro achievements as well. (Golie may take a bit of practice)

First try this way - I picked Crosby, started a pro season, turned penalties/icing/offsides off (anything that hurts the 'team play' rating), turned the shot accuracy/shot power sliders all the way up and bam, A+ rating for the game, 4 minute periods, easy as it gets.

For those of you who want to sim until the last 5 minutes, it doesn't work, you have to play the whole game.

Adjusting the sliders worked like a dream. I turned down the takeaway-related sliders and my team play never fell below B. (Got A+ on the other two categories.)

I don't see the takeaway option in-game.

Easier to use Datsyuk on the Wings, he is good at face offs so you won't have any trouble winning them.

It's easiest to do this with NHL BE A PRO. I did mine with Joe Thornton, A+ overall for the game.

Stay in good position, win face-offs, kill any penalties (don't get any yourself), and get an assist or goal.
