Make sure to set yourself as G using position lock in start screens. Must be a Ranked vs. match, not OTP. Easiest done with a friend. Join same lobby, and send him a game invite. You play as G, him as opposing forward, and run out the clock. He can pull his goalie to give your team a lead near end of game. If playing random person, try to make movements from one side to the other small and quick to not over-commit, and try to keep the blue triangle lined up through your middle at all times. Anticipate passes by keeping an eye on players around the crease without the puck. If caught out, use bumpers (LB/RB) for desperation saves. I use a hybrid goalie, and play butterfly for most shots.

This achievement can no longer be obtained due to the Recent Server closures of NHL 09. If you have yet to start this game, keep in mind the 1000 gamerscore is now out of reach.

Simple enough to do. Another tip I'd give is that if they go for wraparounds or go in the blind spots when you're zoomed on the goalie then hit the select button to change the view to see better, and then alternate views for various plays the opponent comes up with.

I found this achievement very easy if you happen to face someone who only knows how to score glitch goals. The biggest problem you face with this is people quitting early because they get pissed and want to screw you out of an achievement. I would have had it about 5 times on glitchers but they kept quitting, eventually one just left the game running and didnt play instead of taking the hit to his quit percentage.But when they go for the wrap slap or cross crease just dont go down, hug the post for the slap and poke check the cross crease.
