How to unlock the Gameplay Master achievement in NHL 10 - Definitive Guide
Simply plug in two controllers, teams don't matter, and start a Play Now game. Pull the second controllers goalie, and using the first controller, skate into the offensive zone. Perform the deke using LB+RS and after the deke is completed simply shoot the puck into the empty net with that player.

Curious what you mean by loses the puck, because the deke makes him lose the puck then picks it up, try deking on a defender. If that doesn't work I have a couple other tips.

As the video says, pick a good team (East/West/Canada) and play against Poland. Rig all the sliders in game settings to make things much easier, as shown in the video below.
Just skate down the wing, do a loose puck deke with LB + RS. Then, cut in front of the net and put it home. **The video is a bit long, so if you want to cut to the chase, fast forward to ~2:30.

This is easiest when done on a break away. Hit the L1 button+X then skate towards the puck and score. This is easiest done if you have a boosting partner. Have him pull his goalie then do the loose puck deke and score.
Use the :lbbut: and up on the :rs: to do a deke. Once your player lets go of the puck, grab it again and shoot on the goal. Best done in a ranked match and have the opposing team pull their goal (:lbbut: + :back:). Use the deke when you cross the blue line so it give you time to do the deke and score the goal. Once you score, the achievement will unlock.
