Start a new Be a Pro career. Use your created player. Chose to play the game before the NHL Entry Draft. Set the difficulty to Rookie and it should be easy to rack up points. I played as a LW, Power Forward. I had 1 goal and 4 assists in the game and I was the first star.
If you have the most goals and/or points in the game you should get the 1st Star easily.

I got this by using Alex Ovechkin (Washington) with 2 goals and 5 assists in a 9-0 win.

Pesico, and, stiff, bon, air
An easy way to get this is to go into the gameplay section and turn the difficulty all the way down to rookie and adjust all the sliders so that the AI’s is at 0 and yours is at 100. This will make it extremely easy to score goals and get assists. If you get a hatrick (score 3 goals in a single game) then you are almost guaranteed to get this trophy!
