From the Xbox LIVE menu, select Online Shootout and your first option is already dialed to Ranked match. Pair up with an opponent and on the team selection screen use the LT/RT to scroll off the NHL teams and over to either OHL (Ontario Hockey League), WHL (Western Hockey League), or QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League) and pick a team. If you've been having trouble, look for a team with good offense and goaltending, but in my experience this hasn't made much of a difference.

You have to win a best-of-five shootout against your opponent, so try and be sure to score early. Usually people tend to bite on a double-deke, so as you approach, swing wide to your off-hand (ie if you shoot left, swing to the right side), and as you cut across, deke back toward the way you came from, then deke to your forehand and take the shot to the top corner. If you don't have success, just keep at it, and you'll eventually notch a win. You may find in the early going that a lot of people are playing as CHL teams in their own attempts to go for the Achievement, but don't be intimidated if they pick a tougher NHL or National squad.

When playing goal, make sure you come out of the net and challenge the shooter to cut down his shooting angle. But don't let him get too far out to the side or he could slip one in behind you. Back up a little as he approaches, and just focus on the save rather than trying a poke check - if you miss, you will be put very much out of position.

The easiest way to "win" this achievement is to make use of the lobby rooms which are always unoccupied with a friend.

For instance select from menu's Xbox LIVE> Community> Lobby then select the 'Geography" blade. While in a party with your friend, who you'll boost with, decide on a specific lobby "My Country #1" e.g.

Have one player start a session, select "Ranked Shootout" and invite the other, now you'll be playing a ranked game with a friend and able to boost for the achievement.

The player going for the achievement will select a OHL, WHL or QMJHL team and have your partner let you score on them to win. Also can be linked with the :
