This achievement is really simple if you play with friends. You just have to win 4 cup matches.
Playoffs will be available 1 time per week for three days.
Each player has 2 chances to replay the playoffs, which is why you need 2 friends.
Player 1 [you]
Player 2 [Friend A]
Player 3 [Friend B]
Enter HUT and select playoffs, find your friend [friend A] and play with him. He must leave the game session after 2 minutes and you will win and advance to next round. Do this two time then re-do the entire process with friend B. Once you have won the cup game will return to the board of the playoffs, press the B button to return to HUT and you will get the achievement.
In three weeks all of you will unlock the achievement.

You can also do it in one day with one friend.
Each of you makes two alt accounts, and then uses the free one-month gold option. (Make sure to quit before the end of the month, or you'll get charged.) Then the winning friend squares off against the other person's two alts until they win, and vice versa. Took me about a half hour or so. (Already have the alts set up for the 5-GM achievement.)
